I paid nearly two thousand dollars for piano lessons for my kids. The first instructor showed up late or not at all for scheduled appointments and loved to showboat instead of instruct the kids. So I requested a replacement teacher. He came twice, said it was obvious the kids hadn't been taught anything by the prior teacher, and then 'got busy'. When I contacted Taylor Robinson, they admitted that they've had other complaints about these instructors and that they would find me a new one. Now I can't get anyone to get back to me. I've had this package for over a year, and purchased a piano so the kids could learn and now I'm out all of this money. Horrible business practices.

awful company

I worked for this company for 9 months before I moved up north. They refused to pay me my last check saying they won't get their money back from the few clients that I HD that ddecided they were not going to continue lessons and wanted a refund. I gave Trmc 2 months notice of my last day. It wasn't my fault the clients chose not to Continue. Trmc didn't not pay me my last and when I asked they refuseD to pay me. The try to get you to sign up for a lesson "package" and then if you decide you don't want to continge with your lessons they try to refuse your refund. Terrible company, Terrible people, and awful business ethics.

Amazing progress with my son in his guitar lessons. It's because of how hard this company's people worked to get my son the perfect match of a music instructor. Daniel is a talented professional who works hard with my son to help him learn and meet his goals in music.

Choosing one of the instructors on taylorrobinsonmusic.com has been rewarding to me in so many ways. The bass guitar lessons that I take are a lot more fun than they ever have been at other places, and my teacher knows what he's talking about so well that he's helped me feel tons less pressure when it comes to learning music the way I want to. He helps me through every little difficult step.

I think my lessons are really starting to work well! I’ve been patient and so has my instructor, and we’ve stayed very positive and learned a lot of fun things. Guitar doesn’t seem so hard to me now.

6 months ago, I almost hurled my guitar into the air, and then broke it up into firewood. I was so frustrated trying to learn "blues feel" through DVDs and YouTube videos. What I needed was a music lover that teaches me face-to-face right here at my home. TRMC hooked ALL that up!

Aaron has been so great at working with us to get our son’s lessons just the way we want them....and WOW, what an amazing guitar player his teacher is! He’s out of this world.

All I've ever wanted is to learn some Johnny Cash songs on my Dad's old guitar! How hard can that be? I just didn’t get it with every lessons I tried, then I tried this place, and they found me a guy who will not only come to my house, but specializes in classic country!

Bait and Switch Telemarketer Scam – Taylor Robinson's misleading ads are every bit as fraudulent as Takelessons com and Elite Music instruction.

His "favorable" reviews are self written by the salesmen who ever cut and paste them all over the country for different "local" instructors "he" claims to be. I place "he" in quotes because it is really a sweatshop style room of telemarketers who do nothing but make calls to pressure students into hiring "instructors" they know nothing about except that they are CHEAT. THAT'S ALL.

"He" pretends to be a teacher who knows how to say the right things but the customer finds out that they are really just calling a telemarketer in Dallas who then tries to lie his way into talking you into paying him up front FOR A TEACHER HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE. Then he trolls though the musicians section of Craiglist to find the cheapest instructor so that he can pocket the difference.

In summary, with all of these pay-up-front, bait-and-switch cons you end up paying the highest price to a salesman to find you the WORST instructor and then tries to lock you in so that you NEVER have a chance to find that rare instructor who can actually meet your needs.

What a great company. My instructor has been great and my kids are really learning. The staff made sure I was taken care of. I felt comfort in the fact that if I had any problems I had some one to call and get things fixed. I can tell that both my kids have progressed more in private lessons than the years of school lessons they had.

I gave it a shot, and I was about to give up. Then I went to this website and listened to their lessons pitch. They are sent me over a pretty good match for what I was needing. The last instructor I had tried was way too academic. I just wanted to strum some songs on the guitar with my friends around a campfire. Taylor's teacher was much better.

This review was solicited by the rep at the school but I wouldn't have obliged unless I truly felt that they helped me.

I got an email blast today from TRMC asking if I wouldn't mind posting a review about my experience. I'm sure it was a mass email but whatever. All in all, I'm pretty happy. I had to wait a week after purchasing before having my first lesson due to the instructors schedule changing but other than that, it's been smooth sailing. The teacher is young but knowledgeable and good with my daughter. They are moderately priced and come to the house so that's nice. I'd give them a B+.

I've worked for this company as a teacher for over 3 years now. I've found their office to be professional and polite. They have consistently provided me with students and helped provide a little consistency. In my field, that's definitely a luxury that many instructors don't ever get. These guys changed my life for the better.

I was starting to think I had beached all my learning progress and talents on the guitar. I have an instructor now who is just what I have been looking for, and I couldn’t be more happy.

BE AWARE AND READ BEFORE YOU SING UP WITH THIS COMPANY.

I can speak from experience here since i worked for this company.

They never do a face to face interview nor they asked to see my papers about where i went to school, degree papers or if i am even qualified for the job.So basically anyone with a little or no knowledge of music can come into your house and "teach" you or your kids music. You are letting in your house a stranger that Taylor Robinson never seen or met in person. You are very lucky to find a good instructor thru this company. They recruit most of their teachers from Craigslist. If you sing up for a package and for some reason you want a refund, forget it,You Will Never see your money back.

I have been waiting for my last check for over a month and when i called to ask about it Richard Goyen said that they might not pay me at all because they couldn't get the money from their client,so there you go.

Save your money, and a Big headache and look someplace else for a teacher.

Horrible!! This company sent aggressive sales calls and emails and voicemails twice daily, the receptionist set me up with a coach that did not meet the needs I requested and I learned later that she set me up with her husband, who was undereducated for a coach and told me that women only have a head - voice and that's all they sing with(incorrect), and the lesson prices were extremely unreasonable, especially for the poor quality of the coaching I received. I found a reputable coach elsewhere that really coaches! You don't have to go through a company like this to receive excellent quality coaching at a reasonable price - don't let them fool you!

These guys are great. I wanted to take voice lessons and they hooked me up with Jackie, a local singer with a incredible range. My voice and confidence and made a huge change for the better. I found the company easy to deal with and the instructor a joy to have in my home.
