My car was picked up by AAA and as they recommend Stones' Premier Automotive on Shady Trail, and I do emphasize the Shady, I had it towed there. The price of having it fixed was more than the car was worth. I wound up buying a car off Stone's lot. When I took the papers to my bank the VIN # was wrong and I had to return to Stones to get it corrected. Never an apology from "Bob", the manager. I took the title papers to the DMV and the Lien had not been released. Again, a trip to Stones. I finally got the release of lien and went back to the DMV. They said that there were two owners and that the second owner had not signed the title. Back to Stones. They finally told me the second owner was deceased. The lady that helped me at Stones said (again) Bob told her the second owner was deceased. No info from " Bob" about an affidavit of heirship. I once again waited. I was finally told it was in file. Picked it up and once again went to the DMV where they told me the heir had signed where the purchaser (me) was supposed to have signed. I am still waiting for "Bob" to get this resolved. Every time I call they say they are working on getting the affidavit. In the mean time my insurance is being cancelled because of the time delay. I will have no insurance and be driving a car with no REAL title. Please be aware of the "Bob's" in the this world. Stay away from them.

This place is such a rip off. Picked up our car on Thursday with AAA paid tow. Did not get a quote until Friday and we picked car up on Thursday. I could have dealt with paying the 30 dollars fee for one night storage after quote but they charged us for 3 days...absolutely terrible BBB rating of F....so glad getting our car out of there anyone that puts you on hold until you cannot talk to them because they close is such an ethical business. Also they said if we did not pay them the full 90 they would make car unavailable to tow truck and would charge us storage until Monday. I bet we get another quote for half that believe me I will keep you posted as well as all my friends and friends of friends on Facebook

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseStones is by far THE BEST auto shop I have ever been to. They are family owned and operated so that makes a big difference and all of their parts are NAPA and warrantied. They also give a discount for AAA members...if that inst enough, than seeing the work they do and the way they treat you will! I have had to take my cavalier in there numerous times and every time, they have been fair and courteous and always make sure the job is done right. I just had to take it in again and as soon as I walked in they remembered my name and everything about me and my car. Even though they were extremely busy, they still took the time out to help and didn't charge me for labor to check it out. They offered a possible solution and when they went in, they found the problem and it was a simple fix. They also gave me a coupon to use to help too. These guys are nice and helpful and really take care of you

No follow up

AAA picked up my vehicle and recommended I take my car there rather then the place I normally go. I decided to give it a chance. They called on same day told me issue and said it would be 200 something to fix I said. Ok well 2 days later no call to tell its ready or anything. Really 2 in a half days. I called asked if my vehicle was ready he said it was ready I ask how long had it been ready guy said it was ready same day it was brought in. How annoying!! I immediately went and picked it up. Needless to say I will not be going back to them and will make the trip to Krause in Lewisville.

Don't go there even they are l...

Don't go there even they are listed as AAA approved shop.

Last time before I go, I called the shop and a guy named Bob answered. I was quoted $45 for a comprehensive diagnose because I have Engine light on. And I specifically said I already knew the computer code for this warning light and according to the code, there are 3 possible issues and I'd like to know what's the exact problem. He sounded very positive and nice on the phone but he acted totally different when I brought my car over. Firstly it took almost 2 hrs for them to tell me I need a new battery and they quoted for $200+ for the part then with a long list of things cost over$1500 which is not related to my main concern : the engine light issue. I told the Bob I will purchase the battery from AAA since I am a member and he was very unhappy then he asked me pay $97 for diagnose the battery issue. For the engine light code they cannot do anything because after diagnose battery(disconnect the battery) the code cannot be retrieved. I was really shocked but paid him anyway. Later the engine light came back on my way home. I called the shop again and it was bob again, he said they will not charge me for reading the code if I want to bring the car back but there will be extra for finding out the specific issue... blah blah...

I didn't come back since no point to waste my time again with these greedy people. You can have the code from any Auto Zone for free. Besides, they will definitely rip you off if you decide to have any work done there. Just look at the boloney boggies estimation on the battery blake charge. Anyway, avoid this place for sure
