This has been by far the worse car service place I've ever been to and the manager Patrick needs to be trained on how to exhibit professionalism while resolving conflict. I took my vehicle there with hopes of getting my car fixed because it was running hot. It took about two weeks to "repair" my vehicle. I was told I needed a new water pump and my wires needed to be replaced. The cost of these repairs as reflected on my receipt stated 570 dollars for the water pump/wiring and 570 dollars for labor. After I paid Sears over 1,000 dollars for these repairs my car ran hot again as I traveled back home three hours from Dallas and I had to pay to get it towed home. To solve this problem I took my car to another shop in my hometown because the Sears here didn't fix coolant issues. Surprisingly, we discovered that my water pump had never been changed and was in fact the original water pump. I requested a refund from Sears of 570 dollars as reflected on my receipt and tow expenses. I was told by the manager Patrick that Sears was not going to refund me that amount and would only refund 250 dollars because that was not the cost of the water pump, that the general manager was not going to refund me anything, and rudely stated that the conversation between him and myself was "finito" as in finished.

I couldn't believe a manager would actually speak to a customer in the manner that Patrick spoke to me. I was baffled over the fact that he suggested that the general manager wasn't going to refund me any money so I should be happy with the "deal" he offered. The general manager did in fact reach out to me to solve the issue. He stated that the receipt was in error because of the way Patrick imputed it in the computer. However, I wasn't refunded the 570 as stated on my receipt. I accepted the lesser amount from the General manager to be done with SEARS. I appreciate the general manager's urgency and professionalism but I will never patronize the Sears on Preston in Dallas and I'm reluctant about patronizing other locations.

This is the worst service center I have ever used.. the store manager is arrogant and lacks attention to detail to his customers. He finds it to be beneficial to explain how he has never had a complaint then offering an apology for an obvious lack of customer service. I brought my van in 12/9/14 at 10:45am.. vibration in my brake petal... my van is used to transport school children to school.. one mechanic drove the car and stated he needed new rotors and brakes.. the mechanic that drove the car was not the mechanic that fixed the car.. when the car was finished at 3:02pm.. the mechanic yells to the sales rep Brandy from across the room that the rear hub assembly needs to be replaced.. she asked him why didn't you notice that when the car was on the lift.. the mechanic says he made a mistake.. I looked at Brandy and stated you must have read my mind.. while checking out, I asked brandy why didn't the mechanic explain to me what's wrong with the car, she stated he doesn't speak good english.. I asked how is that customer service and she stated she didn't know.. while exiting the building the mechanic that worked on my car came out and told me about the assembly and I asked why didn't he realize it before, he stated he didn't initially drive the car, another mechanic did.. i asked didn't you notice damage while on the lift, mechanic says he didn't check.. I asked to speak with the manager but he left the property and was gone most of my visit.. when speaking to him the following day.. he tells me I told them I had bad rotors, I stated i'm not a mechanic I said I had vibration in my brake petal.. he says well bring the car in, I said, I already have another repair facility working on it, and i'm not pleased with the service.. when I requested the district manager's information, he provided his name and stated, "well you have his info call him" never apologized.. His pride is bigger than the facility.. no problem!

Great battery center

I've had several DieHard batteries installed or replaced at this center, and I've never had anything but great service. They definitely know batteries, and I can get in and out fairly quickly depending on the time of day. My experiences have all been positive at the Sears Valley View Auto Center.

unprofessional

The staff at the Auto Center at Valley View are unprofessional. I rather try to fix my car myself even if I don't know what I'm doing or I can hire a 2 year old to fix it for me. I'm not saying all Sears Auto Centers, I'm sure they're great, but I recommend not to go to the one in Valley View.
