0 stars if I could. Run the other way if thinking about using this agency. Rod told me from Day 1 that by looking at my dad's credit and income, he didn't see a problem. More than TWO whole months later and hundreds of papers being faxed/scanned/emailed he decides to call me and tell me my dad did not get approved. With all due respect, if you have 8+ years of experience then you should be able to look at someone's "situation" and determine if they are "fit" or "eligible" to even apply for a loan and have a remote chance of being approved or, at best, be honest and let them know "hey this, this and this may be a problem, do you still feel comfortable continuing the process?". Don't nonchalantly tell people, "oh yea I don't see a problem with him getting approved at all" then call them two months later to tell them they didn't get approved. You just don't do that, people wait their whole lives to get to this point and Prospect Mtg. could care less. Not to mention they only contact you when it's convenient for them, they never return calls AND even when you are actively having a conversation with them, given you actually hear their voice instead of via email, and you are in mid-sentence, they will tell you to hold on. Terrible customer service. I honestly wonder how this company manages to stay in business. Just stay away from this lending agency at all costs. It took them 2 months to deny our loan application. Time is of the essence when purchasing a home b/c all the paperwork is time-sensitive (Appraisal is good for 120 days, contract is only good for a couple months or so depending on seller/buyer, etc.) We had to file 2 extensions to get the house all b/c Prospect took their sweet time telling us No. (extensions are $375 a piece!). We switched lenders, after Prospect denied us, and closed within a month of switching no thanks to Rod or Prospect Mortgage. Good Luck.
