Pegasus Theatre is best known for their productions presented in "Living Black And White"TM, where the actors on stage appear to be in a black and white film. Audiences are amazed by the technical skill that the company combines with extremely entertaining murder-mystery comedies. Author and star Kurt Kleinmann has been writing and performing with Pegasus Theatre since the company was founded in October of 1985 as part of the "first wave" of artistic renaissance that has occurred in Deep Ellum ( an area of Dallas, Texas ) in recent years. Pegasus Theatre has received excellent notices for their previous "Black and White" outings; The Dallas Morning News praised the company's "Precise stagecraft, acting, writing and direction" as well as their "seamless energy and grace". In January of 2001, the Fort-Worth Telegram wrote that Pegasus Theatre presented "a droll and spicy stewHappily, Harry Hunsacker is back on the case!" Now they bring their special brand of stage magic to New York for a limited engagement this holiday season.

Kurt Kleinmann is a genius! The actor, writer, director of such fresh and vital black and white murder mysteries has such a great eye for detail! In The Frequency of Death, Kleinmann and his scenic crew transport the audience back to the 30s and 40s era mystery movies. EVERYTHING is black and white and shades of grey! The set, the actors; the dialogue is funny and the characters are well developed. Funny, unique and very different from the usual theater experience! A Kurt Kleinmann black and white comedy is a MUST SEE for any seasoned theater goer!
