In 2007 Dr Robbins, who was my OB/GYN, found a cyst & a tumor on my uterus, while I was undergoing fertility treatments, which he said needed to be removed. My ovaries had several good eggs left & I only had small cysts on both ovaries. I was devastated
In an effort to save my uterus, I ended up going to a different OB/GYN Allen Munoz who told me he was going to try to save my reproductive system, and that was a lie. In fact Alan Munoz lied to me on several occasions & he ended up SEVERELY INJURING ME during my surgery by rushing through my surgery & severing my ureter & then by letting another inexperienced doctor close me up, all because he left for the airport on a trip to NY that he told me would not happen. HE ALSO NEVER SUGGESTED EXTRACTING MY EGGS BEFORE THE HYSTERECTOMY or EVEN DURING MY SURGERY, when he knew I wanted to save my ovaries unless they were necrotic or had cancer, and that I wanted to have another child. On top of that, to cut time, Munoz tricked me into signing a consent that included a full hysterectomy. I was very emotional at that time and I should have known better to read the consents carefully, but I didn’t. I wrote on them but it wasn’t good enough. Again, he took away my only ability to have another child when he knew I wanted more children and if my uterus had to go, I could have found a person to carry my embryos, or even kept my ovaries because there was nothing wrong with them, but Munoz simply did not care.
By severing my ureter and closing me up without repairing it, Alan Munoz MD caused me several years of pain, medical treatments and many years of reoccurring illnesses as a result. He came in my room after my organs started shutting down and they found what happened and said he was sorry. My crappy lawyer sued the wrong doctors and so, I lost my case against him all because I signed a consent waiver saying that he could sever my ureter during this procedure and that was part of this type of surgical complication possibilities.
