New Concept Energy, incorporated on May 31, 1991, is a cable television operator. It also operates fixed-voice telephony services, national community antenna television and data services primarily in Bulgaria. The company continues to operate retirement-focused real estate; owns and operates an outlet shopping mall in Gainesville, Texas; and also owns interests in producing oil and gas leases in Gregg and Rusk counties in Texas. On Feb. 28, 2005, the name of the company was changed to CabelTel International Corporation from Greenbriar Corporation, following the acquisition by the company in October 2004 of an indirect subsidiary named CableTEL AD, which is a cable television operator and operator of fixed-voice telephony services, national CATV and data services primarily in Bulgaria. In May of 2008, the company again changed its name, this time to New Concept Energy. CabelTel International Corporation is headquartered in Dallas.
