Very unhappy. I made a web reservation for a multiple day rental. When I arrived to pick up my rental I was told that a credit card was required for my account for me to rent a car. I don't have any credit cards. After calling customer service I was able to transfer my reservation and free day rental to a family member. Just so happens that the family member with the credit card is under 25 and got a daily charge during the rental period. However the free day(s) take 3-7 days to process and transfer to a family member. I am still in the process of trying to get the free day(s) added to that reservation because it was a web reservation that initially had the free day before the reservation was transferred.

Being an Emerald Club member has its perks, find a car you like in the aisle, drop your stuff in it and roll out. Once you're fully registered in the system you breeze through the checkout lane.

My last rental was not a pleasant experience. I'm 2 rentals away from becoming VIP. My last rental contract was closed 2 days within picking up my vehicle and showed me returning in Houston while the vehicle was in my driveway with 4 days remaining until its return back to DFW. To add they charged my credit card at a higher rate than what I get with my corporate rate. Trying to get it fixed during the remaining 4 days was impossible. I was worried that if I were pulled over that the vehicle would be reported stolen. Because the contract was closed, National was showing the vehicle returned in Houston. On its return it took almost 30 minutes to fix everything. They were going to charge me extra until I complained and showed the errors of their ways. In the end National made it right and gave me $160 credit. On top of all this I had left 2 person items in the vehicle. I reported them missing, included description and my contract/vehicle number. It's been 10 days and Still Nothing

first time as a Emerald or National renter have been with Avis / Enterprise for years. Full size rental not a full size in my opinion. Was a nice clean car and excellent service when I returned car.

I had no problems whatsoever with the vehicle. It was clean and ready to go when I arrived at the airport in Ft. Worth. Drop off was really quick and I was on my way within minutes of arriving. Definitely will rent from National again.
