I hired Orion from Maytag Office Systems on March 18, 2015 to service my Xerox 8400 color printer. Orion informed me that I would need to replace the drum. I gave Orion $180.00 in cash and told him, if it happened to be more, I would reimburse him when he came to put the new drum in. I received a text from Orion 7 days later on 3/25/15 which read” I have not forgotten about you.” Nothing more. 13 days later, (April 7, 2015), I still had not heard from Orion, so I texted him and informed him, since it didn’t look like he found a drum by now, please return my money so I can just invest in another printer. No response from Orion. I sent him a message again on April 9th and April 12th. He finally answered on April 12th informing me that he was out of town at a funeral and he would return the following afternoon. I found a drum myself, and sent him the link to make sure it was the right drum. He verified that it was the correct one, so I ordered it. It cost me $50. Orion said to let him know when it arrived and he would come and install it. Mind you, he still had the $180 cash I initially handed him to find the drum for me. Since I figured he had spent it on himself by now, I told Orion that the $180 would become his fee with the tip included, of course after my drum was installed. The initially labor during his first visit was between 30 to 45 minutes tops, so that would be $180 minus $65, leaving me $115. It would have taken him less than an hour to install the drum which would have cost me an additional $65, still leaving a $50 tip for Orion. (That was my plan)

On April 21st the drum finally arrived. I informed Orion via text and Thumbtack. Finally he responded via Thumbtack and said he would be there Friday April 24th between 10:00 and 11:00 am. April 24th 11:43 am I am texting Orion to see if he was still coming. He texted me back and said he was in Atlanta, and he has me down for Saturday, even though it’s clear as day in the thumbtack message the confirmed date was Friday, not Saturday.

Okay, Saturday he was supposed to show up any time after 1:00 pm. Saturday April 25th at 3:54 pm I texted Orion to see if he was still coming. He informed me his plane was delayed due to bad weather, but he was at the airport waiting for clearances.

Saturday April 25th came and went and I did not hear a word from Orion. I waited four more days to hear from Orion to no avail, finally on Wednesday April 29th, I was fed up with Orion giving me the run around. It was obvious he was not intending to come put my drum in or return my money, and I let him know how I felt. I didn’t deserve this from him.

So on April 29th, Orion agreed to mail me my refund of $115 on May 4th. Today is May 11, 2015 and I still have not received my $115 from Orion. It looks as if I am going to have to file a lawsuit against him for stealing my money, because if he has not returned it, he doesn’t intend to. I have a receipt for the $180 I gave Orion, so the lawsuit should be a breeze. I intend to file this week. Just a word of caution…DO NOT GIVE ANYONE CASH!!!

Orion had a NERVE to have an attitude with me, because I was finally fed up, and told him what I thought. He was totally in the wrong, and I think I was more than patient with him. It doesn’t take anyone 1 ½ months to fix a printer. How long did he expect me to wait, while he kept giving me the run around, after taking my money? Would never deal with Maytag Office Systems again, nor will I ever recommend them to ANYONE.

I guess what hurt and disappointed me the most was the fact that he said he was a Christian and a Pastor as well. Wow!
