It might seem a little intimidating from the outside -- especially becuase it looks like a temple. But once you walk in you'll be greeted with a smile and you'll feel totally at home. The buffet of food will not dissapoint you. Don't think that because it's a buffet the quality is less than par -- it's sooo good. Besides the food, the atmosphere is wonderful and very interesting.

I am Indian, My name is Ashish Pandey, I am Basically from Mumbai ,india and I regularly have Indian food outside. I've been to other Indian restaurants in the area and had a decent experience ,I wanted the best Indian food for my wedding because my Wife's parents are from India and we picked in this Indian Restaurant in down town because we have tried many Indian restaurants and we found this restaurant to be the best amongst the lot. The on site tandoor with exceptional decoration and live sitar and tabla music and buffet setup we loved it all. When we went to the restaurant to settle the bill we were asked to share our experience with others and I thought of writting on the net. I can not thank anymore when I told the owners to give special attantion because I want my mother in law to be impressed and she was really impressed and I am glad we picked this indian restaurant to cater the wedding. The customer service was great.

Great all-vegetarian menu!!!

Kalachandji's isn't the only vegetarian restaurant in Dallas, but it is the only one in a Hare Krishna temple. The lunch and dinner buffets are good, and at $10 a head for dinner, it's a good deal.
