Hawn freeway auto salvage should be shut down

I purchased an engine from them in June of 2018 pay $2500 for it . When the engine came it was rusted out and my mechanic could not turn it over called Hawn freeway out all savage and alls they would do is hang up on me.or say I speak no English. But they did tell my parts broker that they were going to have the engine picked up and send out a new one I kept disputing the charges on my credit card and they would come back with saying that i was a thief and i put the engine in my vehicle i sent my credit card company proof that i had to purchase the engine elsewhere and all's i would get back in return was sorry can't help you every time i would contact them and ask for a new engine for my money back i would just get hung up on or called names. I have never been disrespected by a buisness like this before. they have bad engine and I am out 2500 for engine and 300.00 I had to pay to send engine back.

We needed an engine for an older truck. Hawn FAS was the only one that had an engine, so we ordered it and had it shipped to San Luis Obispo, CA. When it got here we realized that the engine had sat outside and had mud and water in the cylinders. Hawn's first tactic was to not call us back despite repeated calls to them. When we finally got ahold of someone, they promised to get us another engine. When the engine did not arrive as promised we again went through a week of unreturned calls. We ended up rebuilding the customer's engine (we are an auto repair shop), and despite the intercession of our credit card company we have received no satisfaction. I would not buy a soda from this company if it came in a can, let alone an auto part.

Very bad service. Ordered a transmission on a Tuesday and they immediately charged my credit card. I did not receive by Friday so I called to inquire about where it was. They replied that the shipping department would return my call. Called a second time on Friday and they replied the same but never called. Called again following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Wednesday morning I told them I did not want the transmission because we did not receive it so cancel the order. They responded that they would call back in 20 minutes with a tracking #. They did not return the call then so I called my credit card company to stop payment. They called at 3:57 pm with tracking #. Too late. Why would a good company charge a credit card before an item is ready to be shipped.

Not honest about quality of item, no customer service. Stuck with junk ....Horrible transaction

BBB claim: Additional NotesComplaint Category: Defective, damaged, or incorrect product receivedComplaint: Stated part as insurance quality. Part was defective and in no way representative of their claims. No response to numerous complaints, not responsibleHawn represented replacement hood as insurance quality. When the part was received it was obvious that the part was in no way "insurance grade" or even usable. The hood has numerous dents, discolorations, has been previously filled with putty that has since cracked. I noted the problems and had the delivery man indicate such on receipt. Delivery individual said he would come back and pick up the hood. He could not. Hawn refused to respond to numerous phone calls and or emails. I have had to file a dispute with my credit card agency. I have had two independent auto body servicemen swear that they sent me an unusable part. They misrepresented the part and now expect me to send it back to them. They need to be investigated by the Texas Attorney General at this point. This is not acceptable behavior by any business. They need to pay to return a part that they stated was insurance quality that ended up being scrap metal. Shame on them.Complaint Resolution: Company failed to respond to BBB to resolve or address the complaint issues.
