Dr. Jacobson has stood by my son through his problems and is very knowledgeable of the medications he prescribes. He spends time with his patients based on what they need. His staff is very polite and accurate in their billing. He is very busy and does have emergencies that come up. This is to expected of any Psychiatrist. This doctor is an advocate for each of his patients. He does say just exactly what he means and some patients may not like that. The type of medications that he prescribes is a matter of trial and error. It takes time to get it right. Adverse reactions may occur and the doctor cannot predict when they will or will not occur. It is my belief that Dr. Jacobson is very good at what he does and that is one of the reasons he is so busy. It is obvious that this doctor puts priority on his patients with more the more severe problems. The wait time at his office can be a bit, but generally my son gets right in to see him. Great doctor in my opinion

After dealing with more than 10 psychiatrists for me and other family members during the past 25 years, Dr. Jacobson is definitely one of the top psychiatrists in the Metroplex. He is great not only with children and with adolescents, but he is great with adults. He actually listens to his patients! Dr. Jacobson isn't one of those doctors who "pigeon holes" his patients - he gets to the root of the problem before diagnosing or prescribing medication. Don't try to "con" him - he sees right through the "games" many patients try to play. I highly recommend Dr. Jacobson to anyone who really wants help. Dr. Jacobson and his staff are exceptionally professional, courteous, and ethical.

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Jacobson for about 5 years. Her autism had manifested itself in severe aggression, mostly towards me, her mom. That is quite dangerous, as I weigh about 1/2 of what she does. Her body tends to get a resistance to most drugs after being on them for awhile, but Dr. J has been available to us at every turn and has managed to get us to a place where I now feel safe. I am confident that he will be there for us in the future. Yes, I feel he has saved my life. Thanks, Dr. Jacobson!
