I have a dodge pickup that just started slippin. So I've been on the hunt for a transmission shop. So far what I noticed is that people have terrible phone skills. They make you feel like your bothering them. I just called Hackler Transmissions and Miss Cathy was AWESOME! I will be taking my vehical down to them. So far so good.......

Worst experience I have ever had at a repair shop! My car remained there for two months before I gave up and drove it home. The owner John Hardin has given the shop to his wife to manage and it shows. They have one mechanic capable of rebuilding transmissions and differentials and he was too busy to help me..I paid $550 labor to have a differential rebuilt and it was in worse shape after repair. With parts I am out $900 and must pay someone else to repair my car..beware!

Quality parts, labor & service. I've been working on vehicles for over 40 years & this company has rebuilt the transmissions on two of my trucks...no problems.When I found out some of the other transmission shops get parts from them, I knew they were a quality business. Guess that's why they have been there since 1958.Thanks guys!S.S.Carrollton

My torque converter fell apart on my way out of town- I had my 4-year-old with me in the van. I took it one place, but they seemed really high. I called Christain Brothers Auto who referred me to Hackler, and I talked to John. He listened to what happened, was kind, and gave me a quote over the phone that my car dealer said was very fair, so I let him tow it to his shop (free.) I was sure it would come out to be more than he quoted, but nope! When he was all done (the next morning I might add) The price was the same. He charged my battery, checked another problem (engine problem) for me and gave me great advice on how to handle that problem. His wife even came to pick me up when it was all done. I felt really good about this shop, and looking back knowing what some shops will try and charge you- that price was really fair. I made them cookies.

I brought my van in for my third price quote- and he was the most straight forward guy I had talked to all day. He was one of the only places that would give me an upfront quote for my torque converter, and stuck to that price without ever calling and saying the dreaded "we found out you need...." His quote was the lowest I had found, and he was done in the morning the next day, and waranteed his work. He has in us, customers for life. Just a great business.
