EVERY TIME WE ARE IN DALLAS WE ALWAYS HAVE TO EAT AT GONZALES AT LEAST ONCE. ALEX AND HIS FAMILY ARE GREAT. I USE TO LIVE DALLAS SEVERAL YEARS AGO. NO I LIVE PHOENIX, AZ. THE 1ST TIME MY WIFE TRIED THE FOOD SHE THOUGHT IS WAS GREAT. ALEX ALWAYS REMEMBERS WHAT I ORDER. ITS SOMETHING THAT'S NOT ON THE MENU. WHEN HE TAKES MY ORDER TO THE COOK WHICH IS HIS MOM SHE KNOWS THAT I'M IN TOWN. SHE SAYS ART FROM PHOENIX IS HERE. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GONZALES FAMILY. WE SEND YOU OUR LOVE FROM PHOENIX, AZ. CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK TO DALLAS FOR BREAKFAST AT GONZALES. WE LOVE YOU BROTHER IN CHRIST ALEX. SEE YOU SOON!

These people know how to cook and to satisfy a hungry belly.. My family always leave full and wanting to take an extra plate home. My family has tried everything on the menu and are wowed every time.. Need a recommendation?, try the carne guisada, it will make your taste buds dance. And don't forget about those wonderful homemade flour tortillas.. No one and I mean no one can top these!!!!

The food was okay, but bland. The chips were out of a bag, not bad, but nothing special. The hot sauce was not the usual salsa; it appeared to be a combination of chicken broth and tomato (disappointing). The cheese enchiladas were covered in an equally bland sauce, the cheese had no real flavor either. I was tempted to ask for some sliced jalapenos because there was just no flavor in any part of the meal. However, the service was very good and the homemade flour tortillas served with the meal were excellent. We won't be back as we like spicy food and they don't make it that way.
