Employers Direct Health provides group medical insurance to employers and is headquartered in Dallas. Established in 1960, it is fully integrated and has eliminated the middleman, to maximize employer control over employee health care planning and related costs. It offers comprehensive services for employees' benefits administration, with quick payment of health claims, and a full range of benefit and plan types. Its product and service offerings include processing of all claims in-house and automated adjudication of all dental claims and a majority of medical claims, resulting in a two-day turnaround. It services health insurance needs through a document imaging storage and retrieval system, so that claim files and pertinent information about any account can be provided instantaneously. Employers Direct Health partners with major insurance providers, such as North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance and Eckerd Health Services.

I was stuck with EDH through my place of employment. We all had consistent and persistent problems with this company. Service is THE WORST. The staff is rude and dishonest. The owner of the company was dismissive of all complaints...solely motivated by greed. Financial statements were always in error, in favor of EDH. Dealing with this sham of a company was a nightmare...with the owner, MB, setting the tone. Avoid all interaction with Employers Direct Health if you value integrity and professionalism. Personally, I do not understand how and why they are still in business. Buyer beware.
