Employees Credit Union is a credit union chartered by the State of Texas. ECU operates under the laws and regulations of the State and is regulated by the Credit Union Department of the State. Our rating can be checked by visiting Bauers Financial Reports. ECU was originally organized in 1952 in Texarkana, Texas to serve only the employees and families of the East Texas Motor Freight System. Today, however, ECU serves employees of approximately 160 select employee groups, and any person residing, working, or attending a school within a 10-mile area of one of our Dallas locations.
