I would highly recommend Dallas Canvas. Mark is a true professional and he does quality work. He recovered my pontoon boat, and fixed many things for me at a very good price so that I could get it ready to sell. He genuinely cared about my concerns and I just cannot say enough good things about his company. They do Amazing Work!

Beware

In 2003 I bought a custom boat cover from Dallas Canvas, It was supposed to be a Sunbrella cover with a 7 year warranty. When it was ready the owners wife called and asked that I bring cash, since I had known the owner Jack for some time I thought it would be ok. My mistake. In 2006 the stitching began to unravel and the cover basically fell off of the boat. I called the number for Dallas Canvas and was informed that Jack had passed away and the fellow on the phone had bought the company, he invited me to bring the cover over to see what could be done. After seeing the cover he felt that this was not a sunbrella product and the thread Jack had used was not UV resistant, apparently Jack was not too particular about his business. If I could provide a reciept with a description of the cover he would present it to the Sunbrella rep to see what could be done, I told him that I didnt have a receipt. He offerred to restitch it for free. I thought well thats decent. When I picked up the cover there was a $180 bill waiting for me. I reminded them of the free restitch and they relented a gave me the cover. Two weeks later the rest of seams fell apart and the cover once again fell off the boat. My wonderful wife bought a $28 dollar spool of UV resistant thread and in her "spare time " restitched the cover. This spring the cover is splitting and tearing in the centers of the panels and let water pass through the material over the winter. My boat is badly damaged and will require extensive repairs. This guy at the cover shop is the same guy that came out to Tower Bay on Lake Lewisville one summer passing out cards for James Propeller. When he approached me and saw my mangled props he handed me a card and invited me to take them to James Propeller for repairs. I told him, You already got $180 of my money and this is how I got my props back. Well. He told me I needed to give them another chance to fix it. I never did. I figure why spend good money after bad.

Paul.
