Not to ever go to this place. ...

Not to ever go to this place. They just expanded and added some vets to the place. I spend a lot of $$$ buying my dog food so I tried their dog grooming business. 3 times they have kept my dog "Neiman" for 8 hours which I thought was very inhumane. On tuesday April 3rd, 2012 I called the store at 7:45 am and asked if they can bathe my dog. The lady who answered said that there was nothing going on at the moment so I can drop her off as soon as I can. I dropped my dog at approximately 8:00 and left her. She was trying not to go with the lady who was to lead her to the cage. Nevertheless I left her and at 1:06, I realized it has been a while since she was left at this store. I called and a gentleman answered. I asked when I could pick up Neiman my dog and he put me on hold and came back on line to tell me between 3-5pm. I was appalled and told him that I had left my dog there at 8 am. He then said he told them to get her ready ASAP. I also had my husband call so that they can expedite her bath.

When I got there I was telling the clerk at the front desk that they had kept my dog for 8 hours and that I thought it was inhumane to do that. She was very confrontative and said that they walk the dogs and do not keep them in the cage without walking them. She also took me to the groomer or owner to speak to her and tell her what I said. I did just that and also told her that my dog had been there from 8 till 4 pm. She said they had no control as to what the front desk does. They do not tell them anything and all they do is bathe the dogs. I asked how many dogs when busy do they take. She said around 30 dogs. I then asked how long does a dog stay when there are 30 dogs. She stated around 6 hours but they tell the dog owners to pick up their dogs after 5 pm!!!! can you imagine that. I told her that if she had to wait that long at the doctor's office and was given an excuse that this was a holiday weekend, the doctor would loose her as a patient. She agreed that it was too long to have the dog in the cage from 8 till 4 pm. The front desk clerk kept telling me that they were very busy and that now they have vets and the other dogs that are brought to be seen by the vets are also housed and might need bathing so it is jampacked. Well I told her that they need to tell the dog owners bringing in their dog that the wait will be long and to expect to pick up their dog after 8 hours. That should flag the owner to make her decision if she want to keep the dog there or reschedule. One of the managers Laurie said she was going to find out what happened that morning and why it took so long. She stated she would call me the next day wednesday april 4th by the late afternoon. This lady never called back. I guess they do not care one way or the other if a customer is upset or if they are at fault. This is a store that is sooo inhumane to the animals . This is the 3rd time this has happened to my dog. I guess the third time is a charm. I hope people read this review and never bring their dog to this place. Everyone had an excuse instead of apologizing for the delay. They should do their best to try to ensure this should not happen again. But hey, it is just a dog right. I certainly would like them to be treated this way by their doctor and my husband is one so that they can feel what its like to wait for 8 hours. This is a store that does not give a hoot about a customer. All they want are the $$$. Since they expanded I guess money is their god since they will have to make the $$ for all the construction costs to expand the store. There are better places to spend $$$ for our dogs. AND this is not the place. Horrible and uncaring groomer and clerks.
