I don't think that she is biased towards mothers. She is just biased period to one side. In my case her favorite is my ex husband. I don't think this woman has the ability to be objective. Her personality is not fit for this type of work. She is easily irritated, frustrated and impatient. She does nothing to solve problems. She gives each "side" a certain amount of time to talk. She does not challenge my ex husband at all with what he says or does. She doesn't challenge me for that matter. I walk out of there with nothing but having had to listen to the ex talk for his time, then I talk during my time and then nothing. All the session are verbal boxing sessions. The only thing she will say about the whole thing is if one of us interrupts the other. She doesn't say anything to my ex about lies he gets caught telling during the session or even acknowledge it. I walked out of there wondering what did I just pay for?? I will never go back to her again.

This "counselor" is unreasonably biased towards mothers and women. If you are looking for a co-parenting coordinator who is unwilling and unable to objectively understand your situation, this woman is for you. As a "bonus mom," I cannot be more annoyed with her unwillingness/inability to question bio-mom's parental alienation tactics. Check out Dr. Warshak and his book "Divorce Poison." Not only is Carrie unable to address co-parenting issues objectively, she has also demonstrated her inability to hold parents accountable for unresolved "action items." She doesn't remember parental situations for session to session, so if you like starting All over again every month, Carrie is your "therapist." (I use quotes because she is not a doctor...only a "therapist.").
