I usually never write reviews for anything but today I must say something about this place. I came to this store July 8, 2010 because I believed that they do good business after reading the other reviews. When I first pulled up to this place it looked like some shack at the end of a dirt road. The installers are Terrible! I had my navigation system put in and they completely destroyed my new car. Half of the lights in the car were not working and they left mud and plastic clippings all over the floor mats and cup holders. They installed a switch in my car that was flimsy and coming off and I had to buy another one for them to replace it with. I bought a brand new rear view camera and navigation system and they destroyed my rear view camera. It worked for an hour and then never again after that. I need you all to fix the problems you caused after I spent almost $500 the previous day. After I pointed out the problems, the installer started yelling at me and cursing at me. I was so shocked, I've never seen a business where employees start shouting and cursing at the customer. That is outrageous, I told him that he had caused numerous problems in my car from half the lights on the dash not turning on to the switch not working to the side mirror no longer turning on and all the mud he left on my floor! He starts shouting and cursing at me saying that electronics are faulty and that perhaps my car is just messed up and that's why all these problems occurred. After that I tried to tell him that what he is saying was wrong and completely inaccurate and he decided to literally ignore me and walk right past me shouting "I don't need to talk to you, I'm out of here". I decided to tell the manager what happened and he did absolutely nothing! I kid you not. After a few hours the manager tried to ask the installer to help him put my car back together because they handed me the keys with pieces hanging from under the steering wheel and the installer said some more cuss words and got in his car and sped off. I don't know who was more shocked about that, me or the manager but he is no better because he kept telling me that the brand new electronics I bought are no good even though I bought them at Best Buy brand new. I asked to speak to the owner over the phone and he said that he can't allow me to do that because clearly he was stalling. I was shocked yet again. The manager was just stalling and giving me excuses instead of taking responsibility and wouldn't allow me to contact the owner because he knew that everything I was saying would make him and the installer look incompetent and deceitful which they both are. After two days of dealing with harassment and lies while I was a customer at this place I kept thinking I just want to get out of here take my car to a Car Toys or Best Buy or anywhere that is not in the ghetto and named Amigos Car Stereo. Just a follow up, I took my car to Car Toys in Frisco, TX and they said that the previous shop called Amigos Car Stereo that installed my Navigation and Back Up Camera did a horrendous job and that I should never have taken my car to such a place. They found cheap wires all inside the dash and burned out electrical pieces that looked used! Never come to this place, they will lie to you and act completely ghetto. You will regret it and end up spending more money and a headache here trying to fix the problems they will cause for you vehicle. I took my car to Car Toys to get a diagnostic done on the whole car to check why the rear view camera was not working and they said that the installer who installed it did not leave enough cord to account for the back door of my SUV opening up so every time the door flips up it would pull on the cord to the point that it ended up snapping in half and that is why the rear view camera was showing no display at all.
