I was extremely pleased with the entire event with Kelly and the establishment. So much that I felt compelled to write my first review since Brick House Leather really deserves your business. I have a special leather jacket that is dear to me for 20 years. The only maintenance has been the zipper replaced 10 years ago by an elderly leather-smith in Aurora. His workmanship was excellent, but the zipper slider eventually fell off. I visited Kelly and she was able to find the extreme quality zipper that my high standards desired. She helped me with her quality hand-made products for cleaning and conditioning my jacket to look superb. She made the extra effort to stay a little late for drop-off and pickup through the Christmas season. My zipper was replaced properly and am quite pleased. All I can say is that communication is very important in a situation like this. I am not endorsing out of favoritism, just that local businesses providing good services are hard to find, and running a small business these days is very challenging , especially in this economy. I like to support friendly people that exhibit pride and integrity. People are quick to comment when they are mad, but do not always take the time to be supportive when needed.

Don't take anything to this business for any reason. Kelly was dishonest about her skills and the services she is able to provide. The sad thing is the service I am talking about is hemming pants. Even after redoing the hem, it still wasn't invisible as was promised and as I paid extra for. On top of the failure of delivering the service, the pants are stained and there is a pull in the fabric! I suspect it has something to do with the fact that they were so wrinkled it looked like they came from the bottom of a laundry pile. I should have followed my instinct when she called the day before they were supposed to be done asking what length they were supposed to be because she forgot and didn't write it down. All of this and not only was a refund not offered, but when I asked for it she said no. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place.
