Provided by YP.comThis is the worst place ever. You take your animals here to die. We left our 14 year old cat (yes she was old) to be boarded for 8 days. The vet techs never saw that she was emaciated and completely dehydrated. They did NOTHING about it. IT wasnt until we took her back in to see Dr.Lee when Dr. Lee said well shes had a kidney infection for four months. They never gave her any medication prior on that four month visit so we had no idea of this condition. Do not i repeat do not go here. We miss our beloved Snapper.

Provided by YP.comBecause of my job, I am in and out of many veterinary clinics, including in treatment, surgical and boarding areas. This clinic has a clear lack of cleaning protocols in place. The boarding facility is dark, hot and lacks fresh air circulation. There are an overwhelming amount of dog cages in the facility. Dogs go outside on a brick type patio to releave themselves is small dog runs that appear to rarely get cleaned. The block flooring is laid over top of dirt, so the odor eminates from the ground up. Aside from the boarding facility, I have noticed the surgical "suite" has hospitalized patients in it, and I have witnessed support staff coming and going during surgical procedures without any concern for sterility. There is evidence throughout the hospital of similar issues, but I do not have personal experience with any other situations. I would recommend asking this and any clinic I was considering for my pets for a tour of the facility. They shouldn't hesitate. Ask how some of the equipment works and evaluate their answers. Ask some "what if" questions... "What if my dog/cat should require hospitalization..." Take note of organization, and cleanliness of floors, tables, countertops, etc. Understand that you may have walked in during a hectic time and the trash can may be full, but the walls shouldn't show years of dirt, the counter tops should be clean, table legs shouldn't be filthy, etc. Clinics DO get dirty, but well managed clinics will be obviously well maintained, equipment will not be tangled up shoved in corners, etc. Although you may enter one dirty area because of a recent treatment, the overall clinic should be clean. Longwood Animal Hospital falls short in these areas. My pets will continue to go elsewhere.
