My wife and I had to have our little Yorkie euthanized at Dr. Orr's clinic on a Wednesday. The next day, feeling so hurt and mourning, we were doing our daily errands when I felt this urge to go here. I felt guilty, but the urge was so strong we went. The staff pointed us to two doors, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. We went in the small dog door, got to the second run, and there sat a little malnourished Yorkie who someone had abandoned and was found by Forsyth County Animal Control on the side of a road nearly dead. She has been with us for a year now, and is healthy and a wonderful companion. She tested positive for whip worms a few days later and the county paid for the meds and doctor's visit. Very happy!

I adopted a dog out of this shelter which I have had for over seven years.

During that process the shelter workers advised me when they would have a dog that would fit my paticular life style - and helped me in getting the right animal.

I am presently considering adopting a second dog - and have found the staff just as considerate in this second search - thanks staff for you patience and consideration with those of us who love animals and truly want to do the right thing for these creatures.

We went to the animal shelter after my dog had passed away and were treated with kindness and compassion in helping me find a dog to fill the missing part of my heart . They were very helpfull and made sure with there checkup of our home that we were able to take care of my new best friend. Thank you

HORRIBLE STAFF

I dropped off a stray 2 days ago and decided i might want to adopt him after all so i went in there and asked when would he be available for adoption and its like as if it was a secret. I had to pretty much pull teeth for here to say after 7 days they decide an animal is adoptable or euthanized. They had no idea what dog i was talking about (wouldnt even look at a pic) and the guy that took him from me was right there. Neither one of them would get off their butts and go look to see if he was even there still. They are very very rude and uncaring. They really need at least an animal lover their because I seriously doubt they give a crap. WHO IS RUNNING THIS PLACE?? THEY NEED TO BE MADE AWARE OF THIS ALL.
