I have been going to Birds and Beast for many years now. Paul and Pat and employees have been nothing but helpful with any and all purchases that I have made there. There knowledge of all the animals is awesome. They hand feed all the baby birds, so when you purchase them they are very calm and not afraid. I have made many purchases at this store and I will continue to do so in the future. You all are ROCKSTARS!! Keep up the excellent care of the animals and keep up the way you treat all your customers.

Our family recently had the pleasure of adopting two baby Cockatiels from Birds and Beasts. First of all - let me say that these people at Birds & Beasts GENUINELY CARE FOR THEIR ANIMALS!!!! Talk about a kind and compassionate staff! Nobody is faking it - they all love the animals - you can totally tell. Their genuine care of their creatures most certainly instills a great deal of confidence in making a purchase decision.



Please note that the birds cost 120 bucks a piece. So the way I saw it, I was handing these folks 240 bucks for two birds - pretty simple right? What we got back from Birds and Beasts was SO MUCH MORE THAN I COULD HAVE IMAGINED!!!! First and foremost, we got two of the cutest little happy and healthy hand raised baby Cockatiels you could ask for. Our family adores and loves them!!! If I could include pictures of them I would. If you have never had a bird - try a Cockatiel!



We have never had birds as pets before so this was all completely new to us. Sort of intimidating. The baby Cockatiels we adopted, Daryl and Suzy, were newborn siblings and so therefore they could not be taken home for eight to ten weeks. They needed to be eating on their own and be mature enough for the transition home. So as the adoptive family, in order to bond with the baby birds, it was recommended by the staff that we come in and visit our little babies “whenever we'd like”. Please note that we have a family of six. Myself, my wife, a couple teenagers and a couple younger ones (who the birds were primarily bought for). Not exactly a small group and some very excited kids (alright...grown- ups too) wanting to visit our new baby birds. So then - for ten long weeks, the whole family, all six of us, as well as many invited friends, family, co-workers and honored guests would trek into Birds and Beasts nearly every single day to visit our baby birds. I did mention this was for ten weeks. Please note, if you have never been in the store it is a family owned shop and is most appropriately on the "warm and cozy" side. Not only would the staff graciously make room for all of us (even at the busiest of times) but they offered us chairs to sit in and play with the baby birds. I could not believe how gracious these folks have been to us, day after day, week after week. Never once did I get the impression that we were a bother and each time they would graciously accommodate our visit. Really quite remarkable I must say.



And not only did we take up their floor space but we took a lot of their time!!! We are new to owning birds and therefore had a gazillion questions that we asked them about our birds as well as general care of birds and so forth. The staff consistently answered our myriad of questions politely, professionally, graciously, knowledgably and courteously every single time – without fail. Nice job staff at B&B!!!



So through this experience with Birds and Beasts we not only adopted a couple wonderful little birds but we made some friends over at the store. What a great bunch. Thanks so much for making it the best 240 bucks I think I have ever spent. Thanks from our family to yours - Paul, Pat, Sarah, Brandon, Addy, and everybody else!!!! Very nice to do business with you guys. Job well done!

This is the best pet store in the area. They always have what my pets need and have fair prices. When you walk in they ask you if you need any help!

I spent $116 11/02 which included a lifetime membership to Birds & Beast. 11/03 I went back to Birds & Beast for another newt, ended up buying a pleco, another plastic plant and I also bought a Butterfly Fish + which is a $20 fish. So when I go into Birds & Beast on Wed. evening with the body of the Butterfly Fish & a sample of water the kid who sold me the newt on Sat. told me that my water was too high in 1 chemical. The another kid comes over and tells me that because my water hasn't "cycled" they would not give me my money back. The kid I talked to on Sat. knew I had just put up the tank, the woman on Sunday when I was spending another $40 didn't even ask. If I had known that my tank needed to be set up at least 6 - 8 weeks before adding that kind of fish - I never would have bought it. I am out not just the $20 I spent on that fish but I am also out the money I paid for a lifetime membership for a place that I will NEVER shop at again because of this poor customer service.

Wow!!!! One visit here tells you this place is MUCH different than the pet chains! I was greeted as I came in and was helped right away. The staffs knowledge of all animals was fantastic. The bird department is the best stocked I've seen. The staff knew just how to help me with my bird problem. All their bird foods are natural, I saw over 25 different kinds, some even for cooking! The cage prices far beat other stores and the staff told me just how to set it up for my parrot. They even are experienced in doing wings and nails on birds, done cheaper and better than the vets office with no trama. Great job Birds & Beasts!!!
