THIS IS NO LONGER DR. GEIGER's BUSINESS - WILL NOT TAKE PATIENTS OUTSIDE OF CROSWELL & LEXINGTON!! My kitty was a patient here for 12 years - but haven't been there in a while. We live in P.H. area, will not see her!

I have always had excellent service from the vets to the staff. I've had two very ill pets, and they worked with me to restore them to health. I can't say enough good about them.

Great service and pricing. So happy to have a vet that is affordable so I can give my pets the health care they need. Doc Geiger has looked after my cats & dogs for 20 years. I really like the new vet in his office as well. Very professional and educated. You couldn't pay me to go elsewhere.

Doc Geiger is the kindest vet I have ever dealt with. His prices were awesome, until he took in this new vet.

I just adopted a dog, previous owner informed me this is where the dog had come.....I called to see if dog was current or what needed and get appt. If needed, would have to wait over 2 months because I'm not a current client even though the dog was....... So much for trying to the right thing for my new pet!

I went outside and heard my cat (cat doesn't like being inside) meowing loudly. At first I thought nothing was wrong but soon I found out she couldn't move her back legs. I brought her in, and he checked her out right away. He was very gentle with her, and didn't mess around. He explained to me tht she had a broken tail and a fracture pelvis but because she is so young she would heal. He explained the good the bad n what could happen n also explained what medicines he was giving her n what he wouldn't give any cats. I was really impressed with how he was with my cat and also how he was with me. I recommend him to everyone

Very Crappy Vet

I would not even recommend him to my worst enemy. His new vets he has in the office are very careless. My mother and I have always taken our pets to him until recently. My mother had taken her cat in for his normal vaccinations. The vet tech put the needle in the wrong spot. I've never seen this cats eyes get so big. Her cat is now very sick and possibly on his last life. When I took my cat in to be fixed his staff was very uncaring. I sat and held her and cried because I was so upset and they kept trying to force me to leave and pay for her procedure. I love my cat so much shes like a child to me. I'm currently trying to find a new vet for all of the animals.

Dr. Geigor is a great vet. Our 12 year old lab had been sick for quite a while, and she would get so bad that she could barely walk. Other vets were so quick to say to put her down. Dr. Geigor put her on steroids and she would get better and could walk again. She happily lived for 3 more years before we had to put her down. He is an amazing vet and he is very intelligent. Another great thing is he is extremely reasonable. It is an 1-1/2 drive from our house but it is worth it.

My dog is now dead.

Just two days ago we brought our dog to this vet to figure out what was wrong with him. He's been urinating blood and was incredibly lethargic. He took a look at him for maybe a few minutes and told us he had an abscess on his prostate, and to give him aspirin and antibiotics. He was so wrong. Tonight we put our dog down, he was confirmed 100 percent that he was suffering and would die. A few hours before, we had called Geiger to ask what we should do. He told us to give him an ANTACID. Our dog is now dead, and we are left with a hefty bill. Stupid veterinarian, never go here. Not unless you want your dog to end up like mine </3 we euthanized him at another vet's office.

My parents took our dogs to this vet and I am 30 and take all my pets here. I took my dog to another vet one time because he was booked and it cost us our dogs life. I will never go anywhere else. I have never been treated with anything other than respect. Somtimes things have to be done a certain way and we dont like it but I am sure any time something goes wrong they also feel bad. If the animals could speak maybe less mistakes would happen. I just saying put yourself in the vets shoes, I will always take my pets to this clinic. It is a great place. And if anyone takes there dog to a vet because they are cheap, sounds like they didnt realy care that much anyway. I dont think anyone would take their child to a cheap doctor.

First off, I'll just say that ...

First off, I'll just say that this is the best vet clinic I've ever been to and I've been to many in my days. Both doctors on staff are not patronizing at all and will give you very thorough, answers to all of your questions as well as listen to your concerns. They are very inexpensive and will go way out of their way to help your pet. My first experience with them was with one of my cats on Sunday when they are closed. My regular vet was out of town and my cat was in need of immediate care. During non-business hours, their phone system will get you to the vet that is on call. In this case it was Dr. Geiger. He met us at his office about 30 minutes later which was how long it takes me to get there. He never gave me the impression that I was putting him out. He helped my cat and the visit cost me around $25.00, yes, twenty-five dollars. I have had to have several of my pets euthanized, both dogs and cats, three of them with Dr. Geiger and the rest with other vets. Euthanizing your pet can go two ways. It can be what you would call smooth and painless and it could go bad. Each time at this clinic I was taken in and settled my bill prior to the procedure. I am not certain why this didn't happen with the other reviewer. Each time just before the injection I was told what to expect, good or bad. Sometimes the injection point can have a burning sensation to the animal. This happened to my dog through and IV that was already in his leg but in the end he is no longer suffering from kidney failure and that was the goal, to end his suffering. Two of my cats received the abdominal injection and after that, I wouldn't have it any other way. The injection is slowly absorbed into their system and if there was no burning sensation, they simply drift off to "sleep." The final 5-10 minutes gave me time to comfort my cats, one of them to the point of purring, which is something they don't get with a vein injection. After they drift off the doctor gives another shot directly in the heart as insurance that they are gone. Cost is one thing I can't emphasize enough about this vet clinic. With my last vet, I couldn't walk in the door without dropping $100. With the Geiger vet clinic I recently had my doberman (considered large breed) spayed and microchipped for about $110. Things can go wrong with any vet but I have yet to have it happen here. I would gladly drive an hour to get there if I had to.

Stay away from this vet's office. Like the other writer whose dog was put down by an injection in the abdomen, the same thing happened to my Rottweiler. She had cancer and was suffering, and her eyes told me it was time. Well, doc couldn't find a place to inject her in her legs so he kept poking her while she laid there crying. Finally he said he would have to inject her in the abdomen which he did. I watched my beloved pet dying for half an hour. Her eyes were open and she was looking at me. Broke my heart and I still have nightmares about the incident that happened in 1994. He may be cheaper, but beware.

I took my Pomeranian into this...

I took my Pomeranian into this clinic three years ago, it's taking me this long to write about my experience because I've been trying to get over the trauma I experienced.

I went to have my dog humanely put down, because she had an illness that she was not recovering from and so not see my dog suffer anymore; it was the only correct thing to do. I was told that Dr. Geiger was a good veterinarian -- how very illy informed I was indeed.

When arriving to the veterinarian clinic, I was told by Dr. Geiger that because my dog was so small that he would have to insert the needle into her abdomen. My dog was only 5.5 lbs., but having spoken to other veterinarians of this matter since, they all agreed they would never, ever put a dog down this way.

I should've just left, but I was being assured that this was the correct thing to do. It may have been, but I do not think the abdomen was the correct place to give such a shot. So, when my dog's injection was given -- at first everything was alright but within about 60 seconds my dog actually started to scream, howl and bark -- she even bit me.

This lasted for a good seven minutes, all inbetween this time the tech came up to me and asked if I wished to pay for it now. I was balling my eyes out, I actually for some reason felt like I was the one killing my dog. And this woman, had the freaking nerve to ask me if I wished to pay for it now while my little dog was screaming, howling and barking in my arms.

I would NOT recommend this veterinarian or their staff to anyone. I went there hoping that my dog would be put down humanely. They lack compassion, bedside manner and care for not only the animals but their human owners as well. There was nothing humane about my experience I had their at all.

We've been going to Dr. Geiger for a few years, and just adore him. He's helped us during business hours and right on to the middle of the night for one of our pets. He's the best we've EVER dealt with!

Dr. Geiger is like Santa and Dr. Doolittle all rolled into one. We live 1.5 hours away, but after the wonderful and expert care he gave our new kitty, we wouldn't go anywhere else. Even in the dead of winter we are driving to Croswell for a "procedure". Our kitty loves him, even after treatments, and we love him. He's been there whenever needed, including holidays. Price is right, too. We decided to make a mini-vacation out of a necessary trip, because he and his staff are the best! Thank you and God Bless!

Dr. Geiger is a very caring vet, he and his staff give great service, and do not do a lot of unnecessary treatments on animals. We are fortunate to have him in our area.

Hello everyone, We have had Lady for over 15 years now and her time is short. She had what I figured was a heart attack late one saturday night. I could fine no one open or that would answer the phone anywhere around Port Huron. One call to Dr. Geiger and he was ready to help. He helped us through the first night and came in to his office on Sunday to see her. I cannot say enough about this clinic. Dr. Geiger along with his staff are the best of the best, even the cost was a shock because it was so low. This is our Vet now and I'm telling everyone I can about him even if it is a good 25 min drive to his office from my home. He is a credit to his profession, the great town of Croswell, Mi and every vet that has helped our (any) family members that are "pets". To Dr. Geiger and the staff, you guys are the best. Ladys family.
