Cumberland County Playhouse is a nonprofit professional performing arts resource, located in rural Tennessee, and one of the 10 largest professional theaters in rural America. It serves more than 145,000 visitors annually, with two indoor and outdoor stages, young audience productions, dance programs, a concert series, and touring shows. Cumberland County Playhouse regularly produces new works based upon Tennessee and Southeastern history and culture, and organizes state and regional premieres and revivals of works with Appalachian themes. It also offers programming that includes major elements of opera, dance, and dramatic works. The playhouse features more than 500 performances, and over 1,600 classes in theater, music and dance, annually. Cumberland County Playhouse is located in Crossville, Tenn.
