If what spudgir stated is true, I'm contacting ACO today. This is abuse of the animal and the owners who think they are leaving their pets at some luxury "ranch".

Husband and I were looking for a place for our dog and had heard good things at the El Segundo dog park about Double Dog. Driving back from Las Vegas so decided to vere off of I-15 and check it out. It's up in the San Bernadino mountains. First warning is that you cannot find their address on the website. Second is that they say no visitors without an appointment. We went anyway. Arrived at 2:30 pm on Monday afternoon. No dogs to be seen but owner was up on deck of his house. He showed us the place. Lot's of room for dogs to run. But no dogs. He said that they had been fed and were "taking a nap". I asked to be shown where they were being kept. He said he really didn't want to show it to me as it would disturb the dogs. After pressing, he agreed to show me. The dogs were stacked two high in travel crates in a dark closet in the garage. No lights on and a radio blaring. He said this kept them quiet. I have no idea how long the dogs had been in there nor would he let me turn on the light to see the conditions of their crates. He said it would get them barking. There was no smell, so I assume things were clean. Any way, I was creeped out and will not be letting my dog stay there. Check it out! and Check it out unannounced.
