First I would like to say that for at least 10 years, I have been going to Oakland Car Wash and there is no doubt that they do a good job on your car, BUT there is something I want to share, and you can BET I will share this with EVERYONE I know. All the flyers and cards that he displays in the lobby, I know most of them and have already called them... I would first like to say that I used to go there regularly, not with just my car, but with at least 12 of my employee's cars, and their friends, etc. Referrals from my end include at lease 40 cars. I ALWAYS buy the most expensive wash around 30$ regardless of whos car it is. I buy it for all my employees as gifts at the end of the month usually. WELL. I went into Oaklawn Car Wash today, I have never come in contact or met the owner until today. When I pulled in, I was courteous and pulled over the side completely out of the way. I did this so that I may finish up my very important phone conversation with my client. I intended on cleaning out the trash from my car before pulling into the wash. The owner started SCREAMING at me telling me to move over more and using frantic, and OBNOXIOUS hand and arm movements! There were no other cars around! HE was flipping out and I kindly moved over more to where he wanted me to move. Then all his other workers started acting cocky to me as he was laughing at me. WOW . OH it gets better. I went into the place to pay for my 30$ car wash and I asked the lady who it was that was screaming at me, she informed me that it was the owner, Ronald Cataldi. I was shocked. Then he screamed "GET OFF YOUR CELL PHONE NEXT TIME" and continued to scream at me in front of his customers, AND little children after I asked him why he was so rude. WOW get off my cell phone? I was being curteous by pulling over to the side while I finished up my important converation with my client, just to be careful to not hold up the line (even though there was not line). I was not driving and talking, he has no right to have treated me like that. It not the situation, it is the PRINCIPLE OF BAD BUSINESS and the unprofessionalism and the completely rude and condesending way that he treated me. I happen to be very well known in RI and I will FIGHT to put this man out of business by spreading the word of his unprofessionalism and bad business. Returning to the place ever again? That is just understood that I will never ever go back there regardless of the good job they do. Here is the best part of it all; I made several phone calls today to all the people that go to Oakland Car Wash. He has a reputation of being a complete A-hole to people the he doesn't even know, and worst of all to the PEOPLE WHO BRING HIM BUSINESS. I have enough money and enough time to never have to work again and do nothing but destroy this business. He is taking away business from other who rightfully deserve it. I am appalled and disturbed by the way I was treated and I will never forget it. Keep this in mind when you see a balding man around 50ish walking around there by the name of Ronald Cataldi. If you want to see what I am talking about...just talk to him, hes a you know what. Why would anyone ever want to pay his bills.
