The day we moved to Cranston (1983) we needed miscellaneous "stuff" for our new house. The real estate agent suggested Durfey's. "If they don't have it, you don't need it" he said. He was absolutely correct. It's not full of useless clutter. One thing it *is* full of is knowledgeable and helpful staff who seem to know where even the oddest part can be found, backed with generations of Durfey pride. Not "big box"... Wonderfully "small box"!

I would not take my screens there ever again. My mother dropped off her window screens April 4th and here we are on April 17th and they are still not done. Should be done tomorrow. They tell people to give them a week but now because they had people out they are now behind. I called last Friday and had a rude associate who did not care. Now I have to find another store to repair my screens in a different neighborhood instead of going to my neighborhood hardware store.
