I’ve been a regular patron of LaGrange Coin and Stamp in Countryside for over a year. The store’s owner, Joe Rizdy, is an affable operator who is there not just to buy and to sell but to educate. I tend to bring my young son along with me on many of my visits, and Joe takes the time to teach not just my son but me as well. There have been times when we’ve spent almost an hour viewing, discussing, and learning about the coins we purchase from Joe, whose business mantra is treating others the way he’d want to be treated. This golden rule attitude means that Joe has built not just a successful coin shop but one in which his customers can feel comfortable and be assured of getting an honest assessment of the products they are buying or selling.Joe isn’t someone who tends to beat around the bush haggling or tries to pull the wool over your eyes. This has made it easy for us to do business in a trustworthy way that breeds confidence in our exchanges. I can sum up LaGrange Coin and Stamp and its owner in three words: honesty, integrity, and candidness. I would recommend this coin shop to most anyone looking to buy or sell coins, stamps, tokens, jewelry, paper money, and more. The owner is on premises. He is very professional and pays the BEST for coins. (any kind) He is knowledgeable, fair and accurate and I would highly recommend him.

Very Honest. I went to sell some jewlery and Joe Rizdy was knowledgeable and honest. He gave me a price and told me what my jewlery weighed.He said if I wanted I could go get another appraisal so I could make sure I was getting the best price. Such a supper nice and honest person. Went there to sell some silver coins I had been collecting. The owner was very friendly and helpful about the process. Gave me an exceptionally fair offer, especially compared to other similar shops. Would definitely recommend going there to sell silver or gold. Will be going back there myself without a doubt.

Found this shop several years ago to find supplies and coins to use to teach scouts about coin collecting. The owner was more than helpful and fair. He put us on the right track and put us in contact with a person who worked with one of the mints. They arranged to give the scouts a special slabbed coin with a boy scout stamp after working on their merit badge. He is very knowledgeable, always willing to help, and a credit to his community. We were very lucky to find him! Very honest and trustworthy!

Very professional personalized service. answered all my questions, and gave me a good price for my gold. I will definitely go back. I like to deal with a business that has been there a while. Also, I did some research first, there are no complaints with the city, and they are a member of the chamber of commerce.
