ARCA Organics is a greenhouse operation that organically grows wheatgrass and supplies it to businesses in Albuquerque. Located in Corrales, N.M., the firm employs individuals with developmental disabilities to assist in the various steps of growing, preparing, packaging and distributing wheatgrass. The company grows wheatgrass without the use of pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers and holds an organic certification by the New Mexico Organic Commodity Commission (NMCC). It is a part of ARCA, one of New Mexico's leading nonprofit organization providing residential services and a variety of life-long supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.
