87 year old Alzheimer patient sent from Dr. office to Spohn Shoreline ER to be admitted for infected leg wound facing possible amputation if not treated and healed. After initial triage sat in ER waiting room for 4+ hours and nurse came out and said we forgot to get a urine sample. Now, 6+ hours in, still sitting in ER. Patient is confused and anxious, wound is oozing from bandage administered at Dr. office. No relief in sight. What an efficient and caring staff.
