My wife and sister are nurses. I came home from getting breckfast and my wife noticed that my face was weak on my left side and I was talking strange. My left hand had gone numbe and I was having troble walking. My wife called my sister and immeditly took me to Spohn, Shoreline. There the trama nurse wrote across the top of the admitence form, " STROKE" and put me in a room. The E.R. doctor, like all doctors I know have troble reading "INCH TALL LETTERS IN RED", decided to do a full cardic work-up on me. This took four hour, all the time I'm getting weaker and weaker. He finally came in the room for the first time and told my wife that there was nothing wrong with my heart and he was sending me home. It said so right on the bottom of the form which said STROKE on the top. My wife ask him what he meant, that I had had a stroke. He said "OH, THATS A DIFFERENT STORY". and had me assigned to a room upstairs. The following day, which was a Monday, they did a MRI and found out that I had had two blood clots in my brain, which had killed these two areas of my brain. IF THIS DOCTOR HAD PAID ATTENTION AND GIVEN ME A MASSIVE SHOT OF BLOOD THINNER, I WOULD NOT BE TOTALY WEAK ON MY LEFT SIDE, AND NOT HAVE BEEN FORCED TO RETIRE AT THE AGE OF 48 FROM A $60.000 A YEAR JOB. Instead I get $32.000 today thanks to investments and social security. THANKS AGAIN TO ANN RICHARDS WHO LET THE WORST DOCTORS IN THE CONTRY WORK IN TEXAS AND THE HOSPITALS WHO SHE MADE NOT RESPONCEABLE FOR THEIR MISTAKES, NO LAWYER IN TEXAS WILL TAKE MY CASE. SO MUCH FOR THOMAS J. HENRY WHO SAID' "TO BAD YOU DIDN'T DIE, I COULD HAVE GOT A LOT OF MONEY FOR YOUR WIFE" He said this when I went to see him when his office was in Moore Plaza.

I was admitted to the hospital in Sept. 09 for a 8 day stay. I was on the 7th floor and all the nurses, lvn's, etc were very friendly. I know that hospitals are very busy and when they came into my room, never did they act like they didn't have time for me. My daughter was recently in childrens hospital and I was shocked at the conditions of this hospital. If I have to go into a hospial again it would be Christus Shoreline.

I just found out that my niece was hospitalized. When I phoned to find out information, the nurse was very professional, every kind and very thoughtful. That is so important when calling about things to do with health. I am so thankful that this was such a nice lady.
