Brought my Chihuahua for emergency uterin and birth sack removal. Staff was courteous, kind,and very understanding!

Horrible!!! They overcharge and the managers were rude!!! They tried to charge me twice for a dog bath, I had to go through 3 diff people just so they could confirm I had paid. Then when I got his annual shots done the price was higher than they had originally told me because of extra fees which I was still confused about because prior we had discussed exactly what the costs were and what I would be paying for. I let it go until I realized his tags weren't with his paperwork. when I went back for him Amy the manager was extremely argumentative and rude!!! She kept insisting that I did receive them...over and over again...and that I could buy duplicates or get them from the city. After she rolled her eyes at me and continually made faces at me as I spoke..I asked to speak to her manager over 6 times and each time her response was "i'm the manager" with a smug look!!! Later find online that the actual manager is Ray and that she is a "manager in training" yet even though I called several times to complain about Amy..he never called back...I had to email him..twice..before he finally responded only to have him defend all her yrs of customer experience but did agree that I should have gotten the tags. I took my dog to two other vets who both confirmed that the initial treatment this place had him on was too "aggressive" and he should be retested before he even goes through with the treatment because in "90% of cases like his" he tests negative. Basically Ray ended the email with "we care about animals and your pets health good luck to you" Um no they only care about ripping people off and both persons I dealt with lack serious customer service skills.

We had a pretty terrible experience with the Animal Hospital of Padre Island. They have consistently overcharged us & provided services our pet did not need, without communicating the cost beforehand. They are strictly in the business of making money, not caring for your pet. They gave our dog Bordetella (kennel cough) & canine influenza vaccines, only for him to become sick as a result. We will not be returning & will advise others against them! It cost us $140 to board for 48 hours - when I spoke to the manager Noe about our concerns, he confirmed that the staff had failed to properly inform of us the costs up front & failed to call us before services were rendered, but was not willing to do anything to right the situation. This is a blatant lack of customer service.

As a customer for many years, my dogs and I have enjoyed Christi and her staff for being very professional and polite. They have been Caller Times "Best of the Best" for 5 years strong and it shows. Great environment and staff, always pleased with their service.
