We have a commercial grade ice maker, purchased from Appliance Mart. It quit working in January; we contacted them for repair. They no longer do repairs, but provided the name of their prior employee, Gary Parham,owner of Affordable Appliance Parts and Repair. He came out, said part would need to be ordered from manufacturer. We paid him $406.00 (included $374.94 for part.) Throughout spring, we made numerous calls re repair. He sporadically answered. In March he brought part, but that part was not the problem. Parham was to receive credit for returning part and pay us. April 5, after making numerous unanswered calls, he stated he would be charged a 30% restocking fee, which would reduce the amount he owed us. He expected refund of $280 week of April 11th. He has not responded since to our many calls. Twice we asked Appliance Mart to contact Parham. June 6 we filed complaint with BBB. They attempted contact; he has not responded. He owes us hundreds of dollars.
