I also thought it was a scam my debt is now paid off people, don’t ever think if you never finished paying for something it won’t come back to collect it definitely does . Glad it’s paid off and they were prompt 👌🏾

ADR group called me to settle a debt that I owed. Yes it was many, many years ago and I thought the statue of limitations protected me. I called an attorneys office and they did assure me that accounts are sent to litigation after 7-10 years after the debt was sent to collections because the money owed does not disappear.. statutes of limitations really only applies to collection agencies. They told me that when that expires after 7 years it can go to litigation and go to court if not paid. After litigation goes to court the judge awards them judgment because the judge will see all of the paperwork laid out and then th attorney fees and court cost and the original lawsuit amount will be owed by me. ADR group helped me by settling out of court and lowered what I originally owed. It did not hit my credit after that. They sent me a paid in full letter and the case was closed. I thought it was a scam that's why I had to check them out first. I do have a friend that didn't believe what they said and it went to court and it is now reporting on his credit report they said for 10 years.
