My child has attended this pre school for 2 years and I must say that it is the best in the city. I never worry about my child and the staff and the director are caring and responsible. The reason I chose Countrywood was a referral from another parent whose child attended last year. Her child was placed in the advanced K1 program at Chimmeyrock and I wanted the same learning experience for my child. If you want a true review of a daycare, call the Department of Human Services @ 901.543.7954.

From the outside looking in this seems to be a well rounded and well orginized daycare.....but the owner dose lack some morale...first off not rewarding children for doing there best says that u don't think they can do any better than they did that day...your job as an educator is to help that child reach his or her full potential no matter what...there are so many different ways to teach children and the fact that they only isolate one way is a shame and shows that you don't care about the children u want the check there parents write to u every week......Secondly to harass a new and up coming business and try to have them put out of business and evectied from there property because you assume that it would hurt your business speaks volumes about THEIR character....but there is a new facility right next to there's that teaches beginning business and tutors children in math and english.

This business is professional,...

This business is professional, the director is very kind. The lesson plan is impressive. You can tust them with your child's safety. The teachers are wonderful most of the time. There seems to be an unwritten policy that if a four or five year old has not learned how to write ther name to the teacher's standard, that child is not given a treat for trying their best. Then that child has to sit there and watch other children consume treats. I believe such a technique lowers children self esteem. There are always wasps nests on the porch on the school. And a low cost child care should not be as rigorous as an expensive private school when it comes to handwriting. The policy on outdoor play in 99 degree weather is a little lax. The teacher sends home notes saying put sunscreen on your child. Now, wHen i was in daycare in the 1980s, only the one sickly child had to wear sunscreen during 80 degree weather. Perhaps this is a technique used to keep the daycare tidy for longer periods. The daycare deserves a 5 star on curriculum and safety , but only onestar on providing self esteem to the children. You know, There is a new Daycare right next door called The ZONE, run by Mrs Bessie Ivory. ( Next to the ballet school) . She has years of experience.
