We havent been in the area very long so finding a new mechanic is always worrisome. I thought I had found one with not only good work, but good customer service as well. We had brought our car in a couple times before we realized we needed a large issue fixed and thats when the trouble started. We brought our car in on a monday and were told it should be fixed by the end of the week. Towards the end of the week I called and asked about progress and was told it wouldnt be done till the following week because the machine shop they used had an emergency so they couldnt get the part back till the following week. So I said ok please call me next week and update me on progress. No one called so I called again later in the week only to find out that some parts they ordered hadnt come in so it would take another week or so. I was very upset as no one had told me and they didnt even try to do an overnight on parts or check with another parts store. They finally finished my car after having it almost THREE weeks (this is our only car so it was hell to deal with not having it for that long)! When I went in to pick it up there were NO apologies, nothing offered in the way of compensation for the lost time and lack of customer service. I was very disappointed and angry. We had hoped we had found a mechanic we could stay with and recommend to others but this one isnt for us. On top of all of that, the noise I have been asking about EVERY time I have brought it in is still there and they say they dont hear it even though all you have to do is drive it down the road and the noise is there. Plus, with this last time it was in I also asked they fix a blown headlight bulb but that wasnt done. The only way I will go back there is if there are any problems with the work they have already done. We will have to start the search for a good auto mechanic place all over now.
