We moved to Cookeville a little over 2 yrs ago. Immediately we came across AMC and our first impression was the affordability! We come from Orlando where the vet clinics tend to be quite fancy (justifying the high fees). We were extremely impressed by the knowledge that the techs have. Dr Anderson is not only adorable, but she is very kind and compassionate. Our 14 yr old Cockapoo had suffered a major stroke and took her in. Not once did they insist on putting her down but instead gave us an extra night with her to say our goodbyes. We took her in the next morning to have her put down. A few days later we received a sympathy card from them. They have done surgery on 2 of my other fur babies and each did very well, post op! I would highly recommend AMC to anyone.

We have used them for over 12 years and they are wonderful! Very reasonable in price and very sensitive to owners and their concerns. Will even come to your home if your pet can't come to the clinic.

My wife, and I use Animal Medical Clinic in Cookeville, Tn. I highly recommend them! My dog was sick today with an infection, and was slowing taking what I thought were his last breaths. Dr.Holt came in,and said not on my watch! I saw him first hand bring him from no heartbeat to my dog Benji coming back to life with quick action with medicine that the Dr. gave him to putting him on oxygen to help him to come back to me! My dog is 14 years old as of July of 2013! During this crucial time they let me stay with my dog the entire process! Dr.Holt is a great Dr.who learned from Dr.Reynolds. We take our animals there because of their great care,unlike the following Vet story you can read starting now! I used to take my animals to Flatt Veterinarian in Cookeville, until took my dog to be neutered. I then received a call saying he bit a hole into his own ear! It was impossible for that to have happened seeing that when I picked him up his ear wouldn't even reach to his own teeth in the back of his mouth!!! I'm not stupid, and I knew very well the so called Dr. was lying to my face, and then had the nerve to still charge me full price. Bottom line another dog had bit his ear while under their care, and they would rather lie to my face than admit a mistake!

Dr. Holt is a great vet. He is very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate with your pets. I recommend Animal Medical Clinic PC to everyone.

I would not recommend anyone to take their pet or livestock to this vet. We lost our dog because of them. We took our puppy for shots on a friday and we told them she was not feeling good instead of running tests to find out why she was sick they passed it off as worms gave her, her vaccinations and sent us home. She kept getting worse. Sunday all day we called their emergency number and no one returned our calls, she died sunday night. Monday morning we took her back into the vets to find out why she had died. She died of parvovirus. Due to our research of this virus, we have come to the realization that they killed our dog. If they would of ran tests when we told her she was sick she would of had a chance to live but because they gave her a worm pill which makes dogs dehydrate and have diarhia it just made the parvo kick in full force, she didn't have a fighting chance after that. Due to his failure to follow procedure of running simple tests before issueing any type of medication for an animal our dog is dead.
