Unbelievable!!!. I would never recommend this place. Brought our new kitten in for exam and shots. Scheduled boosters for 4 weeks later and get charged another exam visit, although that was not what I requested or scheduled. When I called to question this charge I was told this is their protocol! I think these people forget they are in the service industry. The office manager has the nerve to tell me "I don't think we are going to get along" because I dared to question their shady business practices. Please tell me how an indoor kitten needs an annual wellness exam twice within 4 weeks. Can't imagine what my clients would think if I charged them for something they didn't request and then merely state it is protocol. Avoid at all costs!

I have brought my dogs to Russell Animal Hospital on multiple occasions and have loved the service and compassion I have recieved. Dr Paine is a great doctor and really takes care of my dogs. The other vets I have seen treat my dogs as though they are their own! I have several friends who use them as well and they have all had equally positive experiences. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I decided to use Russell Animal Hopsital to board my beagle for 2 nights. I had all of his current vaccinations faxed over from my regular vet. When I picked him up there was an extra $20 charge on the bill. I asked what it was for and the technician told me that they gave him a vaccine for kennel cough. They never asked my permission or gave me any notice that they would be giving him a vaccine. I felt that this was dishonest and seemed like a scam. All they had to do was call me or tell me when I dropped him off that they would be giving him a vaccine. When I was in the office there was another client picking up her dog as well. Apparently the Animal Hospital gave her dog the wrong medicine and the wrong food, which she was on a very strict diet. So, in a matter of five minutes this place had two negative complaints against them. I am not very familiar with pet boarding policies, but I know that I will never board at Russell Animal Hospital again.
