Provided by YP.comDoctors and P.A.'s, are you aware of how your front lines treat your patients? Pathetic !! Or should I say Apathetic?!! Your clerical staff is a joke (literally). Because there's no competition in the immediate area, the staff feels like they can speak to patients in a demeaning and sarcastic manner. Laughing at, and talking over the patient, is habitual, even when letting them know that I was taken by ambulance to the E.R. the previous day and that I'm still in extreme pain!! I requested to speak with Doug's supervisor, namely Peggy, about his negligent and verbally abusive behavior. Then, while still speaking with her, I inquired about another Dr. and she started laughing. I asked her "what are you laughing at?" she said, "I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you". I said, "I don't think so, because I don't find this funny!". Her excuse was "well, it's a small office". Yeah, right! I'm thinking it's Friday afternoon. Let me ask you "does being a small office give staff permission to laugh at, and treat patients poorly? Where is the professionalism? Do you think requesting to be seen as soon as possible is funny? Being that I've previously worked at a hospital for 20+ years, I think NOT!! What our Director called "Service Excellence" is the excellence in dignity and respect, in which all patients (and staff) should be treated. That's not only clearly vacant here but it's also clear that no one here has compassion for the patient. My suggestion to you is to try putting some disabled employees in the front. People who have not had any physical problems don't know what it's like to be in pain and mistreated. Another suggestion would be either to recognize your employees, somehow, with an honorable award for their excellent service and/or timeoff. First impressions are very important, although, I'm sure you're not hurting for business. It's too bad that no one's accountable for their actions anymore.
