I brought my truck to Concord Auto Spa yesterday. I had an appointment which they did meet and they did have the truck 'ready' at the time they told me.



I requested an interior clean only since I had just spent many hours polishing the exterior. The interior really just needed the carpets and seating shampooed.



I was unable to pick the car up hefore close since I couldnt find a ride there. I used my other car to go down and pay and collect the keys so I could get a ride back later. I looked very quickly through the window and it looked like they had done adecent job. I went inside to pay. I was quoted $100 and they attempted to charge me $150. I mentioned the quote and I was told they could go $125. I politely requested he speak to the man I could see in the shop since he was the one who quoted me $100. After he spoke with that person he came back and said he had to speak with Joe. Joe aplarently said to charge me $100. I paid and gave them a $20 tip because it looked like they had done a good job.



Later I got a ride down to pick uo the truck. After getting in I noticed the floor mats were slick with whatever they used on them. The steering wheel and pretty much all surfaces were slick with this stuff. I decided I could just wipe it off when I got home since it looked like they were cleaning up for the night. Driving home into the sun I was very surprised how terrible the windshield looked. I think they may have used the same towel for the glass as they used for the plastic interior parts which were all slicked up with something. The smear and streaking on the windshield was totally unacceptable. After getting home I also noticed the radio display, climate control display and all the gauges were also covered in some kind of slick treatment which left all the gauge faces smeared.



I was busy that night and the next day. I went out in the morning and opened all the windows since it was to be hot and dry. After returning home from work, the slickness had kind of dried. I drove the truck down to Concord Auto Spa to show them. They lerson I had talked to the day before was there and he offered to re clean the windshield and gauges. I wanted them to have the opportunity to correct the issue so I agreed.



He wiped the windshield down with some cleaner and then the gauges and radio face. It was not any better. I just let it go. I will not be back.



The people were all polite and nice. I had no trouble with them other than they do not know how to detail a car. Im thankful I didnt let them clean the exterior.

Zero stars!!!! Don’t bother with this place if you are a busy person. They don’t honor their appointments. They let you leave your car thinking they will get to in the time frame that’s been given but who knows when they actually will. Probably best to go to a place that has it together.....

What did I just do to my car? I had recently been given a gift certificate for an Express Detail with the Concord Auto Spa. As far as I can tell, all they did was vacuum the floor mats and take my car for a test drive in the rain. There was still dirt on the bottom of the door panels, the dried remains of dead bugs on the chrome of my grille, they did not vacuum the trunk, they did not wipe off the dashboard, there was a large dead beetle in the cup holder, some kind of greasy mess on the leather in the back seat and it smelled like an Italian had farted in it before closing the doors. The wax job was well below my expectation and I feel like I would have been better off paying $12 at a touchless car wash and putting $1.25 into one of those outdoor do-it-yourself vacuums using the remaining $36 dollars to buy a fleece vest from L.L. Bean and a strawberry Nesquik or several 5 dollar footlongs. I am putting most of the blame for this on the giver of the Gift Certificate and have already placed a Jihad on his family. I had picked up my vehicle after hours so to the credit of the Auto Spa they may have done an excellent job but as the doors were left unlocked it is possble that a homeless man may have forced himself on a partially conscious animal while eating a discarded calzone just before I arrived. We really need to do something about those homeless.

I just purchased an ultimate detailing for my Scion xA, and just got my car back. The car looks beautiful, they dd a really great job! I will be bringing my wife's car by later this summer.
