Highlands Elementary School, is a part of the Mount Diablo Unified School District, and is located in Concord, Calif. It offers classes from kindergarten through grade five, and has an enrollment of more than 700 students. The school programs are designed to meet the needs of young children. It provides a nurturing environment with emphasis on assisting children to learn appropriate ways to solve problems and to obtain the academic skills necessary to be successful. It provides a comprehensive education, and includes subjects, such as English, mathematics, social science, health and physical education, music, and art. Highlands Elementary School encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, and sports, including basketball, volleyball, softball and football.
