We live at 490 Evening Street in Worthington, Ohio 43085-3862, and we have experienced a significant and unacceptable deterioration in our mail service.In September our mail sorting site was changed but we experienced no problem. However, shortly after that our delivery person (Eric is his first name) changed to another route and things have gone down steadily since then.First, on at least 3 occasions we have received no delivery at all on regular delivery days. Now at first one might assume there simply was no mail for us on those days. However, the following day our mail was greater than normal. And on one occasion I noticed a delivery person at about 9:30am – who I did not recognize – and I asked about not getting a delivery the preceding day. He told me that the regular delivery person simply did not get his delivery done that day and that this was the previous day’s mail and that we would get another delivery that day at our usual late afternoon time.In addition, we are having mail deliveries mixed between ours and our neighbors fairly often with two occasions when we received mail for a 490 address on a street 3 blocks from us.Most importantly, being retired, we have been going south for a couple of months each year. Each year we have purchased Premium Forwarding Service and it has worked without a hitch – until this year. We have paid $137.00 for this service and our receipt clearly states: First Shipment Wed, Jan 02 2013 and Last Shipment Wed, Feb 20 2013.The first week it was due nothing arrived. So I called our mail sorting site. I had to leave a message and was told I would get a call from the supervisor. No call arrived. I called again and talked to the Supervisor (I believe her name is something like Bridgeete) who said she did not know about our forwarding service but would check into it and certainly start it this week and that she would call back. No call arrived. I called back and was told she was away for about ½ half and they would have her call when she returned. No call arrived.Now the second week has passed, and despite giving her the address to which our mail was to be forwarded, nothing arrived again.This is all unacceptable and must be corrected. In addition to the poor service I have now paid for at least two weeks of Premium Forwarding that I did not receive.Luckily, I have someone with access to our house who regularly checks on things for us, and she tells me that mail was delivered after the forwarding was to have begun.
