Provided by SuperpagesDr. Shewring seems to be helpful, but she isn't able to fill challenging prescriptions. She also allows her staff at both locations to be rude with patients. The Polaris office is a filthy office in a very dirty, run down building, and the downtown office is in a very bad oart of town.

Provided by YP.comI guess I didn't know how great my old eye doctor was until I went to this place. I was forced to switch due to my Health Insurance provider being changed. I visited the Polaris office where I was given a prescription that was WAY too powerful for my eyes (this has never happened to me before in the 13 years I've worn contacts) so I had to return for a second visit. Basically had to give the doctor my old prescription and he went off of that. I was told I would get 20% off my contacts through my insurance, then when billing came around they told me my insurance covered nothing and they had no idea where they read that but it was false. I have never met such rude front desk staff in my life, they act like they would rather eat dirt than answer your questions, and if you ask more than one they have no issues revealing how annoyed they are with you. I'll be returning to my old eye doctor and buying supplemental insurance before I go back to this place.

Provided by YP.comThe care is fine, but they are almost always behind schedule. They also like to change their mind on pricing - you'll get one price over the phone, and a higher one when you go in. Not sure if they just haven't trained their staff, or if it is a larger problem, but we're getting pretty tired of it. A 50% price increase is "just a little bit more" and "still a really good price", and their attitude is pretty much "your problem, not mine" if you point it out. My suggestion would be to go somewhere else.
