Lifeline of Ohio is an independent nonprofit organ procurement organization that promotes and coordinates organ and tissue donation services. The organization offers human organs and tissues for transplantation and has been approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It provides services in more than 30 counties throughout Ohio. Lifeline of Ohio offers services to over 60 hospitals. It has a staff of trained and certified procurement coordinators and registered nurses who specialize in organ preservation and tissue recovery services. The organization has earned the Donation Service Area Award for donating organs. It is a member of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations and the American Association of Tissue Banks.
