Let me start by saying that I in no way affiliated with Graffiti dog, other than being an extremely satisfied customer. I was not paid to review them or anything, I just feel compelled to share my story with other pet owners who have also had bad experiences at dog groomers.



I have been to many groomers in Columbus with my 2 year old terrier mix and I have not returned to any of them more than once. My dog a few anxiety issues that we believe were the result of her life before we rescued her. The stress and trauma she was exposed to at these places was obvious to us as soon as we picked her up and reluctantly paid their sometimes outrageous fees.



My vet told me about Graffiti dog after I told her of our issue with other groomers we had been to. I told her I didnt want to ever take my dog to another again but she convinced me that i needed to have her groomed for her health, as her hair can easily gt matted and cause infection of her ears, toes, etc. I found Graffiti Dog's website and read their mission statement. They believe in using organic shampoos and treatments, they dont use "dryer cages" (which I didn't even know about- they are horrible!), and they are willing to take only one pet at a time which was ideal for me as my dog can sometimes get aggressive with other dogs when she is under stress. I sounded great and the prices were decent so i thought I'd give them a try.



I made my appointment with Tina and my husband and I both came to meet her before leaving our dog with her. Tina is amazing! She talked with us for over 30 minutes about their philosophy, my dogs particular traits, issues, etc, and she even shared stories about her own dogs. All of this eased our minds and we were able to leave our baby with her. When we came to pick her up after only 2 hours (they dont believe in keeping dogs in cages all day either) my dog acted like her normal, happy self! Tina took extra care with my dog. She hand trimmed much of my dog because the electric trimmer scared her. She also let my dog air dry for the same reason- this added 30 minutes to her time with my dog but I wasn't charged any extra! She also walked my dog to let her use the bathroom and finished her cut with a pink, leopard print bandanna. Tina did an amazing job and she really, truly cared about my dog and me. She treated my dog like one of her own.



Graffiti Dog is what every dog grooming salon SHOULD be but so few are. They have completely changed my perception of groomers and I would recommend them to anyone. 5 stars is an understatement.
