If I could give no stars I would. Do NOT hire this company to do any concrete work. If you already have, I hope you’re patio doesn’t end up like ours.

In June 2017 we hired Han and Estate-Custom Concrete to install a 14’ x 33’ patio (standard finishes) at our new home. Han at first was very courteous and prompt with both the initial meeting, estimate, and work completion.

We noticed issues immediately such as high/low spots and squared edges rather than rounded, but decided to let it slide because the work was done and there was no easy way to remediate. However as it started to get colder we began noticing severe chipping.

We contacted Han right away and sent pictures. He assured us he’d come out to look and would come up with a way to remediate. Every time he gave us a day/time he was a no call/no show. After being strung along for several months and being told I was “harassing” him after I sent three emails trying to confirm they would really be coming 6/4-6/5 as he previously stated, I am done. I cannot continue to be held hostage when the company is unwilling to communicate and show up as promised.

A concrete expert was hired to evaluate our patio and aside from the severe spalling, we have high/low spots, stairs that aren’t to code, and nothing to protect our home from the expanding/contracting concrete.

Han did have a member of his crew come out on 6/5 and that person demolished 3/4 of my stairs and left - not removing the large chunks of concrete that now sit on my patio. They returned 6/6 and claimed they couldn’t work because there were no free outlets - but there are 2 available outlets they had to walk past to get in the backyard. The said crew member stated to another person working in our yard and using 1 of the 3 available outside outlets “...well I can’t be mad at you, that got me out of a lot of work”. No one has returned and now I’m left to figure out how to demo the rest of my stairs, remove the concrete they left, and get my patio redone.
