I will never return to them !! Never had an issue with doctors before or doctors offices , but push everyone to go through Cardinal services, a specialty pharmacy . You pay no money and it's sent directly to your house. You just have to call them and give them your insurance info ... But my insurance DOES NOT COVER THIS . The doc office and I went back and fourth between phone calls saying , Cardinal health should work for you ... BUT IT Doesn't . End of story I kept telling them . Finally , They put it through another normal Kroger pharmacy and it's been literally almost 2 weeks and th Doctor ASSISTANT CHRIS NEY won't push my authorization through ! So every time I call I get a different nurse telling me the same stuff. It's ridiculous , I can't even be treated.!!

I refused to even schedule with this facility after my initial phone call with them. I was inquiring about a specific procedure to remove enlarged pores on my face. I was transferred from the receptionist to another individual who stated I needed to see a doctor as that area was not hers. I was then transferred back to the front to someone that was apparently new. She asked me several times to repeat what I was inquiring about and I could hear her put her hand over the phone to question someone near by. It was as if they just opened for business and had no clue what I was talking about. I expect a specialized facility to have immediate answers to inquiries that pertain to their profession or at least give a confident response if they are not sure. The initial interaction with them made me uncomfortable and leery to put my face in their hands. If I were others, I would take the other reviews into consideration before visiting this place.

I am searching for a dermatologist that takes medicaid. Not sure if Dr. Park does or not, but he removed 3 sebaceous cysts from the top of my head 19 years ago. I figured I'd see if he's still in practice. In doing the search I started to recall my experience with his office. I had a 20/80 PPO at the time and so my bill of around 600-800 dollars was a bit alarming considering the simple nature of the procedure. Basically, you freeze the topical skin area of the cyst and cut a slit just large enough for the cyst to be extracted from, you remove the cyst with some sort of surgical pliers, then you stitch it up. I guess that's called surgery so this is why it costs so much. Oh', they also sent the tissue in for a biopsy in case it was cancerous. Dr. Parks was very pleasant and explained everything clearly. In fact I'll say he's an excellent physician. I had no stitch scarring at all. However I did have one tiny complaint that through the years became a much larger one. That is, Dr. Parks decided to leave a rather small cyst alone that day when removing the 3 larger ones. I regretted not insisting he remove it because it is now much larger than any of the 3 he removed that day. In fact, had he removed it I wouldn't be typing this! Within a couple of years that small cyst enlarged to where it was necessary for me to wear a hat. Considering his was the only cyst I had for several years after the surgery, it seriously bothers me that Dr. Parks didn't make better judgment to remove it along with the others. Especially considering how difficult it is to keep good insurance. Sadly I will have to give this otherwise pleasant experience 3 stars. However, if they take medicaid I will schedule an appointment with them. I won't mention any of this to Dr. Parks unless he decides to leave the smallest of my 3 cysts, in which I will point out that the quarter sized ( but flatter fortunately) cyst he is removing is that one he said to leave alone...and I imagine he said, "for now". As if like dentists we intend to go back every 6 months like to a dentist check up. People just aren't that rich, even with 20/80 insurance. I'm older now and just hope my medicaid works.

One star was even too much to ...

One star was even too much to give them. I was scheduled for an appointment and received a phone call the day before saying that I had a bill from over a year ago that I needed to pay and that the bill was in collections since January. When I talked to the lady in billing she told me that they had sent me letters and called me and I explained that I had never received any type of communication from them. She became rude and told me that I had to pay the amount due and it was not their problem that I didnt receive any of my mail but they had documentation. She stated I should have received an explanation of benefits explaining why the claim was denied. I called my insurance company only to be told they had never received the claim. So my insurance called and explained that they had sent the claim to the wrong address and that instead of calling since all the other claims had went through the insurance company asked why they did not send it to the same address since I had not changed insurance companies. So here I had a bill that was never submitted and that they never properly sent me the information about it and now it was placed in collections. I will never go back, the lady in billing lied and then when she was told to resubmit the claim which I am still waiting on so we shall see, but the whole situation that occurred was ridiculous because it wasnt my fault and here they sent my bill to collections which had no bearing on their credit and they didnt care.

I am reluctant to give them a star....very rude. We had received an invoice for charges and, because we have dual insurance, thought that the other insurance had not yet paid. When my husband went in for a scheduled appointment they turned hm away. they never called, never sent a past due, did not make any effort whatsoever to explain. Much less call to tell him not to waste the gas to come in. Now on to "why do I carry dual insurance when the two companies just want to bicker with each other and not pay..."??? We paid the bill several weeks ago and now we're getting a certified letter??? Not sure what they did with the payment but somebody got it - the money is out of my bank account!

1st Dermatology Appointment

I had my first Dermatology appointment today at Eastside Dermatology. (I'm in my 30's and have never been to a dermatologist before) I was nervous due to my health issue. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctor it was one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had in any doctor office appointment in my life. The nurse was extremely helpful and informative. The doctor was pleasant, knowledgeable, and made me feel very at ease. I would recommend this skin care center to anyone in need of help. If I could give this center more stars I would. Best of luck!!

The Dermatology practices that I've been to in the past used the following mode of operation; they would ask me to fill out a voluminous questionnaire, then when I finally got to see the Doctor, he or she would ask "and what's wrong with you today" Even worse, if tests were required, I was told that "we'll call you with the results". That never happened, so it was up to me to call their rude staff and try to persuade them to get off their butts and look for my test results. At Eastside Dematology I still had to fill out a form, but they actually read it before the Doctor or nurse saw me ! After a thorough examination was made by Doctor Parks, who actually listens to his patients, a skin biopsy was taken and he informed me that they would call me in 10 days with the results. To my complete amazement, exactly 10 days after my biopsy I received a call from a very pleasant Eastside Dermatology nurse who explained my test to me. Since that time I've had to cancel and reschedule several appointments. Instead of hearing "The Doctor has no openings for the next decade" I found the folks who schedule appointments to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating and best of all, you can understand them on the phone!

Don't do it...Keep searching!

Their office is nice, but that is all that it is. Their staff is rude and judgemental and the doctor doesn't even listen or even ASK what is going on with you! They need to take a sensativity class, especially when a young person comes in and the doctor tells you that your life is permenantly ruined and there is no treatment available after talking for only 3 minutes! They didn't even have all of the equipment set up for what I needed and all they wanted was my copay. It was a horrible, unorganized, and hurtful experience. Please do not go here.

Great Experience

The doctors and staff at Eastside Dermatology have been amazing. They've never made me feel like a number or that I was being rushed along without time to ask questions, and everyone there has always been so nice and welcoming. They also have open houses for their patients throughout the year, which is something very useful that I hadn't heard of before. I've been to other Dermatology offices in which the doctors never really explained what certain medicines do, what to expect, etc., but the doctors and esthetician at Eastside Dermatology have always explained not just the "what," but the "why" of what they're doing. The esthetician is great at what she does and has significantly reduced my acne scarring. I would recommend this office to anyone, and wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Great doctors and staff!

i have rarely been treated so well by everyone i encounter at a doctor's office but this practice is an exception. The staff made me feel like a friend and the doctors i met with showed real concern for my well being. A rare find these days!
