Columbus Pest Control was founded in 1946 when Joseph J. Mooney returned from WWII. He soon became a member of two highly recognized organizations: the National Pest Control Association and the Ohio Pest Control Association where he served as President in 1958. Several years later, Joseph met his business partner, Orlando Alonso, and together they worked to building the reputation and experience behind Columbus Pest Control as a commercial and residential service and retail store. Upon Joseph’s death, Orlando purchased the business in 1971. He became the President of the Ohio Pest Control Association and was active participant when the pesticide laws were passed in the 1970’s. This law is still in effect today and has since been amended. Orlando’s son, Lonnie Alonso, had been involved in the Columbus Pest Control business from the time he was a child. After Lonnie received his license as a Commercial Applicator from the Ohio Department of Agriculture, he worked alongside his father for many years. Today, Lonnie and his two sons, both licensed, work together in this three generation family-owned business. They are dedicated to providing effective and ethical pest control results to both residential and commercial customer that they have serviced for many years. Columbus Pest Control has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 1946 and has received an A+ rating of excellence. Lonnie has supported and served on the board of the Ohio branch of the BBB as chairman and in other capacities for over 20 years. All Columbus Pest Control technicians are individually licensed and experienced. They pride themselves in only sending out the best, most knowledgeable and experienced pest control specialists. Columbus Pest Control does not hire seasonal or part-time people. With Columbus Pest Control, there are no sales people or commissions involved. Awesome!!

I have been going to this place for years. They have never led me wrong. The supplies I have purchased from them are the SAME EXACT supplies Orkin wanted to use in my home. I thought I was out of my mind by trying to "do-it-myself" and called someone to come out after I already purchased supplies from Columbus Pest Control. When the Orkin guy asked me how I was able to purchase the same supplies he had in his truck I had to send him packing- why should I pay someone else to put down the same supplies I've already purchased from Columbus Pest Control? I was able to treat my home for a total of $50 over a 6 month period instead of paying Orkin $80 to come every other month.
